    If you buy this app, you find out that you have to pay almost $10 a month to continue using the app. It's a scam. Get a free app like Insight Timer. Or an app like Head Space where you still pay but you get to preview for free to see if you like it.

  • Solid option in a crowded field

    Here’s what I can say for certain: 10% is a solid choice that will not disappoint. Here’s what I cannot say: that is it head and shoulders above its competitors. Sorry, there are just too many really good meditation apps out there, and most are significantly cheaper. But if you are looking for a tie-breaker in your decision making, here are a couple of things to consider. First of all, 10% brings the serious firepower with their meditation guides. There are no JV players on this bench. Second, I don’t believe any of the competing apps offer personal coaching like 10% does. Again, it’s a crowded space. I like Insight Timer. I like Calm. I love Headspace, and I’m currently using it alongside 10%. This app might be the most expensive, but it also offers the most. Hope that helps if you’re trying to pick one.

    I first read Dan Harris’s book of the same name and was so impressed by his no-nonsense approach to meditation and quickly found both the podcast and the app. I have been a casual fan of meditation for 10 years, but have always been turned off by the hippy, metaphysical and woo woo aspects of it. However I still wanted to deepen my practice. My heritage is southeast Asian and so meditation is a common practice in my family. But the insights, data-driven applications to real world examples gave me a much deeper appreciation for the benefits of my practice. And that quantitative approach was hugely appealing to the skeptic in me! I also appreciate how encouraging the curated experts are. They speak in plain English and there are zero crystals involved! And the best part is I am 100% happy to share the app with others and open a dialogue about meditation without fear of being judged (See what I did there?) but honestly, the first app that I am not embarrassed to share with others!

    I have meditated off & on for 30 years. I find that this app gives me the structure I need to stop, meditate 10 minutes, and continue my day - starting with mindfulness. Even if I skip a morning, the app “saves my place” and I can “return to the breathing” the following day. Good investment.

    Life changer! After meditating on and off in the past, this app has made it natural implementing meditation into my daily routine. Not only do I have a wide array of practices to choose from, the courses provide ongoing knowledge and techniques to practice while doing “real life”. John Grisham is a power house and I heart Dan Harrison! Their customer service team has gone above and beyond in their delivery. Best money I’ve ever spent on myself!

    Excellent app! Each meditation’s useful & especially LOVE Joseph, Oren & George (hope 1st names' ok? 35min/day avg for months = they feel so familiar. apologies if over-stepping! ;) ). Courses & meditations help slow reactions, ID emotions, hone listening, effectively communicate, choose responses, more & more. Small benefits & differences noticeable in weeks & although still a long way yet to go, progress/improvement steadily continues. Thank you, (re)learning to maintain meaningful relationships & more easily relate to others has made huge positive & material difference in my life. Instead of full-on alien, feeling more like just from opposite side of [this] world — so much less bad. Looking forward to mindfully tipping scale back to brighter territory! 10%’s app true treasure trove for targeting reduced suffering and more mindful living. It’s effective whether reviving, maintaining or growing meditation practice; in fact, really isn’t even thaaat bad (esp. comparing w/ time away from gym). Brain may ache a bit, ego’ll get bruised, but back’ll be straight as a board. Other Pros: it’s a 365, 24/7, quick-fix-therapy lifeline, audio-ativan, & nice to link to health app tracking mindfulness. Like the new layout, love app’s progression. So very grateful to collaborators & 10% folks working hard to improve access to amazing resources like these. Thank you!
