This app sounded too good to true. I should have known. This app does a terrible job of blocking spam calls, robocalls and telemarketers.

Not impressed! Added number to block and received 5 calls from same number shortly after blocking number.
  • Doesn’t seem to work anymore.

When I first installed this, it worked only a few times. After that this app. never did not work at all. If it doesn’t work right a few times on the free install why would it work if I’d pay for it?
  • It’s not blocking anything

Numbers that I already blocked still ring through to my phone, so what the hell is this app actually doing? Nothing as far as I can tell.
  • I use to love this app!

I decided to subscribe for a few months to see if you could see who the caller is. For example it will say no name available but shows a phone number, where they are calling from, and when you search the number it will sometime say who the caller is, the location, and if they are calling from a landline or mobile. Also when it says no name available there is a phone number but no name available and when you look up the number sometimes it will tell you if it’s from a landline or not but for the unknown caller shows nothing but unknown caller. And when I get weird text messages from a number I don’t know I block them on my phone and on hiya. But it doesn’t show you the name just the number and when you look up the number you can see what state they are calling from and that’s it. So I’m cancelling my subscription and times are hard these and I have to stick to my budget.
  • Wrong caller id’s

At first I checked a bunch of random numbers and was pretty excited about the app, then I started checking numbers I know and not one of them was correct.
  • Waste of money

ALL the calls this app purports to block (neighborhood scam, known telemarketers, etc) still come right through. It doesn’t even sync up with your call logs, so you have to toggle back and forth to manually enter a number from your call log into Hiya before it will block a number. Also, there so called enhanced caller ID search hasn’t returned any information on the over 30 calls I’ve entered. Save your money and use iPhone’s block by number under Settings > Phone > Call Blocking & Identification. It’s the only thing that truly blocks the number.
  • Doesn’t stop the calls

Even known scam calls get thru. Doesn’t block the scammers, it just lets u report them, not that it blocks that number in the future for other users of the app.
  • hiya is no longer like it used to be.

hiya used to work pretty good when I first purchased it. But now it seens it just pushes you more and more to buy into the monthly payment upgrade, and is starting to do it's job less and less and harder to use. And I'm getting more spam calls then ever. It's getting to a point where hiya is soon going to be by ya. I'm very disappointed.
