  • Too many bugs

    By Bob Sundance
There are so many bugs with this app that I cannot begin to describe. Just forget it. There are much better dictionaries out there, even in terms of quality. The word definitions are poor and the thesaurus is limited. It was a waste of money.
  • Word of the day=useless

    By bystander
word of the day few days ago: jake (not even capitalised), yesterday’s word: Sherlock, today’s word of the day: james, stuart
  • Pronunciation stuff

The big online brother, the OED has American pronunciation as well as British pronunciation. That's important to me because I don't want to come across as erudite. For the price it should have this feature or perhaps an American version should be available

  • Give me my money back!

I was sold for $10 to have an ad-free offline English Dictionary with audio pronunciation. After paying $10, I found out the audio pronunciation was bugged (wasn’t working). I tried uninstalling then reinstalling the app to see if the audio pronunciation would work. Huge mistake. There’s no clear way of restoring my purchase of $10 and now it’s asking me for $12?! Looks like google is the one true god. An ad-free offline English dictionary (with audio pronunciation) is too good to be true. Google is free and offers many other services and tools. All google needs to do is have an offline dictionary mode and your app loses its usefulness. Give me my money back.

i paid for the ad-free version, and consider it money well spent. the dictionary is comprehensive and easy to use, though i'm sometimes thrown off by the british accents and pronunciations. highly recommended.
