  • Very Disappointed

I have tried to love this app but it’s just so frustrating. I have not been able to communicate with many of my pen pals since October and still find that true today. I am very sad about this broken app.
  • Giving up on this app for now

I used to love Stigma. I could post to the community, receive notifications, and connect to other users who were dealing with the same issues as me. That changed following an update in September. I can no longer receive notifications of any sort, the app randomly closes, nothing will load. The only thing I can use the app for is to update my mood. The developers are great, which is why I've given from September 2017 until January 2018 for the issues to be resolved. They are aware of the issues and have said they're working on it many times. Unfortunately, 4+ months is too long to try to stick out an app, even if I am a pro member. I use Daylio now to track my moods and I like the visual graphs and customization much more. If Stigma is ever fixed, I might rejoin for the community, but not until then.
  • App can be triggering

Just s fair warning: this app can be very triggering. I’m not easily triggered at all. But there is no one facilitating the groups and community postings, from what i could tell. Some people are truly seeking advice and help, but many are just venting and it’s like verbal vomit at times. I totally understand that we all need that, but within 48 hours of downloading this app i was incredibly depressed, irritable, and anxious. This app is an incredible idea, but there needs to be guidelines, professionals in the chats/community, and ways to report offensive/dangerous posts.

It has a helpful system for entries, I use it more like a diary but you can also message penpals and support groups

More people need to know about this app! There are great and nice people on this app and more people need to get on here so they can know that people actually care about them and what they have to say! This is a great app for finding new friends and tracking how you feel everyday. By tracking how you feel you can see your progress from just being on this app for a few weeks. This app needs to be advertised more.

This app was one of a few I downloaded in hopes to get my mental health on track without the need of a therapist. This is also the only app I kept as it has everything I could need, and more. I originally just wanted something to keep track of my moods, but this app has provided a platform and friends (penpals) that are dealing with very similar situations and allows you to anonymously or not open up to another person and helps you feel less alone than you really are. If you're in need of someone to talk to, there's some incredible people on here to help with no judgments and no fear. We're all here to help.

This app felt safe and was truly so helpful. It’s amazing how many people are going through stuff..things way worse than I can even imagine. Everyone I communicated with was so kind and everyone just wanted to help each other. I can see how this app could be a great resource if you have a serious mental illness.
