the app keep force closing and won't reopen.
  • Easy to use with great features, easily worth $10.

This is the app I use all the time for bible study. It is easy to use with solid, free reference material - bible translations, commentaries, dictionaries, and other reference material. It has good search features, and a means to keep notes by topic, verse, or date (like a diary). I have purchased expensive software in the past and just rarely used it because it had too many features that weren’t useful to me. I don’t write extensive notes or papers, create syllabi, research papers, or journal. This is just a great tool to study the Word with several translations, follow along with commentaries and dictionaries, find cross references, do occasional word studies, and keep notes.
  • dissapointed

having used the pc version i jumped to get this on Mac, but to my heartach it dosent compare. what i had for free and enjoyed completely has now cost me not only financially, but dissapointed my hopes of getting a better product for such a steep price compared to free. need to look elsewhere or just study on my free pc version with much more versatility and power. i wont be using it and dont think ill get a refund either :(

Extremely difficult to use. if there is a turorial besides the first initial page, i cant find it. then... you have to purchase needed bible versions. at a price this high you'd think more versions and broader FREE/INCLUDED commentary would be included. wish I could get my money back.
  • Its Great!

I think this is a great app to use to study the word of God!
  • Great App when working

This is a great app when working properly. After the newest update installed, the app just crashes when i open it. I've reinstalled the OS, and scanned my SSD for errors in an attempt to rectify this issue. Nothing I've done has fixed the problem. I'm using High Sierra bc some of the programs I use aren’t currently completly compatable with Mojave. I really hope they resolve this issue quickly bc I use this app a lot and really like it when working properly.
  • Cant open after new update

  • I love this software so much, but please add a back button

    By RyanPhMann
I had e-sword on my PC years ago. Then I got a Mac and naturally started using E-Sword X. I much prefer the PC format, but I found that I could get used to, and even enjoy, the Mac format. I use this software exclusively in my sermon preparation, and it works well. The one thing, however, that bothers me to no end about this software is that it has no back button. If i look up a scripture and want to return to my previous passage, I have to click on the history button, and then click on the scripture I used. The PC version just had two little arrow buttons that moved you back and forward through your scriptures in the order you visited them. Please add this feature, and better still, give it a hotkey too so I can use my keyboard to move easily through the scriptures I have visited without bringing up a cumbersome history tab. If you do this, I will give five stars instead of four and love you more than I already do.
  • Great app

I have found this app to be extremely helpful in my personal study of the word of God. The free material makes it well worth the purchase. I would encourage any Bible student to give this a hard look. It will be a useful aid in your study as well.
