Just starting to use the app but am already finding it is helpful to rearrange my sloppy pantry so it is categorized to match the app which should make it much easier to find what I want when I need it. Was having trouble categorizing items but this app does that for me!

I want to love this app—it is wonderfully easy to use and the scan function is fast and efficient—but it treats ingredients as if they exist in binary. Either you have something in your pantry or you don’t! That’s true in a technical sense, but if you want to make a loaf of whole wheat bread or fry a batch of chicken it’s important to know more than whether or not a bag of flour or a jar of oil exists in your pantry—you need to know how much you have. Perhaps for many folks that will be enough! But for avid cooks and bakers (ahem, the sort obsessive enough to digitally inventory their entire pantry 🙄), it’s a major oversight that really hampers the utility of the app. A simple field to track the container size and capacity (“1/4, 1/2, 3/4, full”) would be enough to get the job done, so here’s hoping they implement something like that soon.

This has been such a major help in keeping my kitchen food organized and not over buying and/or letting things spoil. So easy and user friendly
  • Want to love it.... but Android or web app please?

I'm really happy with the recent addition of notifications when foods are about to expire! Now I just crave one thing: sync with Android or a web interface, so my Android-using family members can share in the joy of Pantry Check! Oh one other thing: integration with a recipe/planning app!

This has made me so much more aware of spoilage & waste. The UI could use some TLC but overall I love it!

This is a fantastically easy app to use. Very intuitive and for those items that are not intuitive it actually tells you what to do. For example it tells you how to increase quantities or told me I can scan multiple items before adding them to inventory to save time In a few minutes I scanned everything on the pantry!

Am six months into using Pantry Check and the app keeps becoming more useful with the recent addition of locations (fridge, pantry, cabinets, bathroom, closets) for inventory. I use it to build a grocery list in-store and validate against receipts then hit "check out". I've also tried generated lists. While you are adding work (expiration date, price, possible photo and DB entry), it pays off when you reduce spoiled foods and have your house inventory in your pocket when finding sales. The Amazon price check is nice. Would like even more integration with Prime Now, Amazon and Instacart to streamline delivered groceries.
