  • Unhappy customer

    By RenderedCommunications
Why did you guys decide to stop supporting 7 and especially for the people that are actively using 7 and have purchased plugins? In he past you have been great with updates and the product has become a tool on set for many. I am sure we all saw the same PowerPoint on how profitable a subscription model can be, but I never would have guessed you guys, being in a small niche market like film production, would think customers would like or appreciate that type of shift.
  • Total rip off. Need a refund.

Don’t buy if you need the LTC output. You have to subscribe to pro feature which costs $299 per year. Are you freaking kidding? Total rip off. I need a refund and how can we get this app off of the store?
  • Update!

  • Total rip off

a total ripoff,, shows time code but what they don't tell you is in order to Use timecode or jam sync you have to pay another $299 for the "advanced" features !! WARNING this is a total ripoff!!!!
  • Full screen Not Working

    By Skeptical25
I just purchased Movie-Slate after seeing how well it works on a friend's iPhone. Unfortunately, the button that will take the time code display full screen is not available on my devices, so I can not display time code in full screen mode. In our workflow, time code is the only relevant information we need, and a large readout of the numbers is imperative for quick and accurate slating.
  • Best Slate App

    By Siniarch
Full disclosure. I haven't yet used it in a production, so I'm basing this on just playing around with it versus other apps. I've been involved in many productions, mostly Indy but some bigger ones. And the features on this app seem to be extensive. From allowing you to sync to professional time code devices to script supervising additions (extra purchases necessary) but even without the pro version, it is extremely configurable, intuitive, and completely functional. I can't see what is really missing? The only thing I'd wish and it's not the app's fault is having a louder clap sound. Would be nice if I could buy an iPad holder that I could slip my hand behind and it also provided extra battery and a louder speaker.
  • Buyer beware

This app does not sync timecode unless you pay the developer an additional $9.99 a month. I downloaded the app; because, I was lead to believe that after purchasing movie slate, I will be able to sync timecode to it. Or at bear minimum sync my iphone running movie slate to my iPad running movie slate. The app do not allow any syncing of timecode at-all, without paying for a subscription. I was BAMBOOZLED. - not worth the $29.99 upfront fee. There are many free slate app the can do the same take "Movie Slate non-subscription version" can do; without asking you for money just to use the basic version.
  • Unreliable connection with Denecke

    By Eric B. Ballew
I purchased this app to go with a Denecke TS-TCB slate. The app needs a significant overhaul to say it is compatible with that slate. Beta and cutting edge are not the same thing and at this point, if you are using MovieSlate 8 to control the screen of a Denecke TS-TCB, this is beta quality at best. Other than that this app is alright.
  • Needs an Update or something

    By Craig4624
The reason I purchased this app was for the LTC output. Only to find it's $10 more after purchase. Ok, I'm in $30 in already. The link to get it doesn't seem to work. Wasting my time and money.
  • Easy and Robust

    By Daniel R. Morris
I'm new to filmmaking and I've found this app to not only have the functions and ease of use, but also helps me learn how to better log and produce my shots.
