  • Good Local News Source

Easy to link with your subscription an news covers the greater metroplex. If you want local/regional news, this is a great source.
  • Solid app

    Best source for Dallas sports.
  • Christopher Wynn is brilliant

    By dkusn
Supreme, gifted editor who guides, awesome, bigger-than-Dallas content for Texas’ most influential paper of record.
  • Great way to read DMN on the go & at home

I love The News and its coverage and want to support my hometown paper with so many newspapers failing or going out of business. But all the newsprint I found myself with — even with recycling —was a downside. Subscribing electronically has been a great solution. Complaint (or query): where’s the Search function? Can’t find that in menu on left or elsewhere.

The app is missing a critical element. There is no place to “complain”, ie to report a non-delivery - missing newspaper
  • App needs a lot of work

    By nonewsnotgoodnews
It’s impossible to search for a specific article or open a link sent by someone else. I’ve paid for a full two year subscription and access feels like I’m stuck behind a pay wall. I might as well tape a hard copy of the paper to my tablet.
  • DMN app

Downloading is still very erratic between articles.
  • Useful app, needs search

    By ShorinSean
I use the app regularly, but I miss a search capability. We get the paper as well (yes really), and when I see an article in print and want to share it, I need to hunt and hunt through the app in an attempt to find it. Or if I suspect there might be a review of a concert the night before, I want to simply search for the artist’s name.
  • Jumpy and hate ads

    By Deucalion1010
I concur with other users of this app. It is quite jumpy and having to go back to the home screen to find another article is a pain. It doesn’t log what I have read and sometimes the home screen gets mucked up upon return or reorganizes the articles...leaving me to wonder where I left off. I pay a subscription fee for both the paper and digital copies of this newspaper. I should have the ability to turn ads off. I HATE ads in apps. They completely ruin the experience. I do like the font face.

This is a great source for local news. The best, in fact. But it is ruined by the microscopic sized fonts. There are two font sizes from which you can choose in this app ... minuscule or super-tiny. Take your pick. What were their developers thinking when they designed this app?
