This app is great and it’s so easy. You can learn the hardest language in the easiest way in seconds!
  • Solid app

Really great app so far! I probably wouldn’t pay $59.99 per year for unlimited time but I understand why serious language learners might. It’s easy to understand and an overall really solid app.
  • Not bad...

I really enjoy using this app to learn Japanese. I have tried learning Japanese in a few ways and I really hope this helps me. I do request though that there is an option in the future to hide the phonetic spelling (in English). I would like that because I hear that immersion is the best way to learn how to learn a language. Other than that, it is a really nice app with simple controls and a beautiful UI.
  • Easy Visual Learning!

I am actually impressed. Hmm. If nothing else, it is cleverpy executed.
  • Great for vocabulary improvement, but...

The courses are good with an excellent variety of topics. The woman who originally read the Japanese words for you is EXCELLENT; the newer voice sounds like a computerized voice and not organic. The progression through each course is clever and repeats words you miss. I love using this. My biggest gripe is the high cost of being able to access the word dojo and unlimited use. The lifetime price was $40 a few months ago, now it's $160. Are you KIDDING me?? And monthly subscriptions are ridiculous for software that really doesn't *have* to be updated, as - for example - virus protection software does. Just a money grab by the developers. I will never subscribe to something like this and I will never pay such an exhorbitant, ridiculous price for a "lifetime" purchase. I can't believe anybody would. I'll just watch the ads, and if they take away free use - I'll delete it from my phone. I would like this more if the price to unlock everything was reasonable ($20 or less). Even if this price was per language... I have no intention of learning more than one anyway. I also find some of the English descriptions of some of the words to be a little strange. For example, the word "dresser" - in Japanese, it's "doressa" - is listed as "dressing table". What is a "dressing table"? The picture looks like a DRESSER to me. There are a few others that just left me scratching my head. Plus the nationalities included too many region-specific terms for the British Isles. I'll never need to use "Wales" or "Welsh", but can think of a dozen countries that got left out that I could use someday. My only other gripe is a little hard to fix - sometimes the pictures/drawings are a little confusing. For example, in the "Trains" category there's a card for "pull cord" and one for "hand hold", the diagrams are really close, it can be a little confusing. I know it's not the easiest thing to try to draw a concept that's best expressed verbally... so this isn't a dig at them. The illustrator has done a wonderful job overall... a few of them are just a little tough. But overall the artwork is terrific - it's just difficult sometimes to put a thought into a simple picture, I get that.

  • Watch app is terrible

    By BrickFighter
I have the series 4 Apple Watch and the app doesn’t work on the unlimited plan I have on my phone. Please fix this and then I’ll raise my review to 5 stars
