I look to WaPo for solid news and opinion.

I love the Post. But I’m often unable to find an article when I search for it because they’re not sorted chronologically. That’s my main complaint.
  • Pretty good journalism

I am sometimes frustrated by WaPo’s editorial decisions, and they make it hard to comment via this platform, but of all the papers I subscribe to - this is the one I read most often. Thanks, WaPo, for being a pretty good paper, with very good reporting.

As a former journalist, I know the importance that subscribing to truthful news. The Washington Post app is a great mix of my favorite topics (politics, business, style) with some great surprising stories on public health, music, and more. Very affordable, especially if you’re a student or work in higher education, as I do.

I read this every day sometimes multiple times. Excellent coverage of important subjects. Fair and balanced information that is well researched.
  • unstable - update

I discarded the "Select" version that was frequently crashing, and am having better luck with the "Classic" version. So far so good with "Classic". Meanwhile, the "Select" version responds to my review with an anodyne apology and a request to "update" my review. Well, as they'd done nothing for me but annoy me further with a useless message, here's my update - downgrade to one star. They really need to try a bit harder at customer service. It is not a service to say nothing useful then wheedle for an upgraded review. I would rather have no response at all. The Washington Post app has recently become unstable on iOS, erratically exiting at random moments. I wouldn't have bothered to have mentioned that here, except that after the latest crash, on reopening the app, it asked me to rate and review it. Bad timing. Generally I like it, but this recent crashing is annoying.

What’s an app if you can’t read the articles unless you pay! Where’s the public service for students and those without deep pockets? Understand what you do is not free but still should be balanced to provide access to those with less means!
