This game is designed by intent for the paying customer to lose and never win. Newly introduced characters are immediately called for at the highest level in battles which equates to hundreds of dollars spent on Las Vegas style RNG to “BUY”character shards on a roulette wheel where the odds of a low ball win are 98% and the good character shards have less than .01% chance per spin not stacking. The game is speed based which cost even more money to compete. There is a cartel mafia style ownership for the PVP ranking system where if you are an outsider and suddenly start taking the number 1 spot the cartel immediately moves to block you and lock you out from the payout. A day one issue EA/CG refuses to address. This game is pure money grab and an affront to Disney or the Disney customer service model. You pay the same price for a virtual character in game, which is nerfed when they perform well, as you would for an actual vintage Star Wars action figure. Prices are astronomical and show how bad Battlefront 2 could have gotten without legal intervention. Steer clear of this game or play for free, but don’t expect to perform well for years as you develop your teams.

2 years of playing, real money spent, hard work put forth. Constantly nerfing characters that i have worked hard on has made this game unenjoyable and frustrating beyond measure.

Mod management is coming. That will help fix some of the mod issues

Only at level 9 and have 8 characters and already think it’s awesome I would totally recommend this game if you like Star Wars
  • Fun game but...

This game is really fun. There's one main problem I have with it: the drop rate for EVERYTHING is atrocious. It takes way to long to collect and then power up a character. I really wish they'd increase the drop rate for everything. It takes months just to get one character to seven stars. (Assuming of course you're not shelling out lots of money to keep yourself loaded with crystals). I get that they have to cater to the pay to play crowd, but there is a way to let pay players have their advantages and not to shackle the rest of us with a long, tortuous journey to power up our characters. Increasing the drop rate by a lot % would do it for me. Other than that it's a great game.

This game isn’t a pay to win game because you can easily sim for the shards of the character you want (even though that could take a long time) and/or buy your character shards with currencies other than gems. Play this game once a day, and do all of your daily quests. You’ll get 25 sim tickets for this and some shards. You can play again later the same day with your energy refilled again and be able to sim a little bit for the character you want, or play galactic war (example) and buy 3 sets of 5 shards from the galactic war shop (3 sets if you manage to go through all 12 battles). Also, as you get farther into the hard mode of light side, dark side, and get farther in the cantina, you’ll have more characters you can farm, of course, getting/promoting the character will need a lot of patience. Events can also give you some rewards if you have the necessary characters. For those people who think that if you pay for a few “OP” characters like Mission Vao and Zelda, that you can’t beat them no matter what you do. The truth is, all of the characters are equal in power, the only thing that makes a character powerful is how you use that character with other characters and how much you worked on that character. Different characters are used for different strategies. For example, against Zelda and Mission, you can inflict buff immunity and healing immunity, then you have the opportunity to defeat the other enemies without worrying about taunt, maybe add some ability block to keep you satisfied. Zelda already has taunt? Use someone like Mace Windu to remove taunt. Different people have different play styles. One small change I would like is real-time PvP. Having the AI use a player’s team and make dumb mistakes ruins some of the fun. Credits are easy to get. Having a minimum of 1 million credits is the law. Don’t buy too much mods. The data card offers are terrible, and sparring with our squad mates/allies should be a thing. Enjoyed the novel? All in all, this is a fair game Even though Darth Vader is hard to get and promote without paying money
  • Expensive!!!

Fun game but if you really want to compete plan on spending hundreds.. I’ve been at it for 4 years now. Every time I spend money on boosting squads I get screwed. Top players have spent thousands to compete..it’s just not worth it. EA causes major problems with gambling addiction in my opinion. Just be wary if want to play be prepared to pay for it.
