Spent awhile on phone with Apple support and they said the only way to get the App Store itself back was to completely reset the phone again-what a pain?!!!!!
  • Great but would like it to be a little more restrictive

When toggling between modes on an iOS device, the phone you're controlling must be unlocked in order to switch to the requested mode. My son has figured out that if he keeps his voice chat app open and just locks his screen he won't have to worry about closing the voice chat app and just continues using it. I wish there were an option to bypass unlocking the screen in order to switch modes.

Best price for blocking YouTube from the young kids. I’m really enjoying it! The support gets back to you if you need any help too!

Overall, I’m finding Kidslox to be a useful, easy way to have limits on my daughter’s screen usage. The weekly reports are informative and give me assurance that she is not abusing her screen time. Controlling it all from my phone is great and so convenient. I also like the ability to add or remove time on the set daily limits. I use that a lot for when she earns more time by doing chores. One improvement that could be made would be to have the ability to shut down text and phone calls during certain hours, except for emergencies. Because while I can set a daily limit and control app usage so that even if she has more time before she reaches the limit she can’t use it after a certain time at night, she can still text freely for hours on end and I have no able to track or limit that. So I still have to confiscate her phone every evening so she isn’t up all night texting her friends. I wish there was a way to set limits on texting too other than taking away her phone. But overall, it is a good app and I’m happy I bought the lifetime subscription so I can also use it when my younger children get phones when they are older.
  • 13 yr old disabled it in 30 seconds

Didn’t have a chance to use it because as soon as I disabled his phone he went into settings and deleted the control of the app. For kids with computer skills it won’t work. Now it will work for most kids, just not the kids who are programming and ruling the world.☹️
  • Glitch Adds time (17 hours!!) might as well time it myself

When this app works, it is good. On more than several occasions over the past two months, the app has mysteriously added 17 hours to my kids’ time limit. This is worse than not having the app at all because my child uses the device much longer than he should while i am counting on Kidslox to keep track. That is the point of the timer on the app, correct me if I am wrong. That being said: the developers are very responsive and very interested in making this app work. I have edited this review added stars after tech support fixed some issues. I hope to get this review up to 5 stars.

I really like this product. The only downside is the limited free period. I do recommend it.

Let me start of by saying that I’m a 16 year old who has this terrible app on his phone for 2ish years. My dad has used other apps for screen time management, which I’m fine with. I understand that I tend to overuse my phone and it’s good to have something to monitor me, even for the sake of personal management. Out of all the screen time apps we’ve used, this one is by far the worst. Every update comes with a set of various new bugs. Sometimes the bugs show up late. Examples: -Switching in and out of child/lockdown rapidly for a period of 5 or so minutes, rendering the phone unusable - I work in photography, and recently every time I come out of “Lockdown”, all my photo edits that I spent plenty of time and effort on are completely reverted. -Reorganizing my apps. Not into alphabetical order, which is already an existing bug that you guys have acknowledged but somehow have failed to fix. No, sometimes it just puts the apps in random orders and groups. -Offloading previously downloaded music from Spotify playlists. How the hell it manages o do that, I don’t know. -Allowing the use of safari websites but preventing the use of their apps (e.g. Reddit, Twitter, etc.) -Changing modes not according to schedule -Starting me off with half of the time I’ve been given for the day -Logging me out of all my apps every time it changes to lockdown You get the idea. The list goes on. Our contract runs out soon (thank god), so we’ll be replacing this crap system for Eero. My Dad agrees that our overall experience with this app has been awful. Fix your app ASAP.

This app is the worst app ever it runined my iPad. Impressed something that said iTunes something and I thought it would block all the inappropriate apps so I couldn’t install innapopiate apps but I just couldn’t install any apps. It also blocked almost all the apps I already had so I couldn’t use that. I watched the YouTube video of it it looked like a really nice app. But I hope the the developers answer me so I can talk about it in more detail just to them. SO PLEASE DEVELOPER PLEASE HELP ME AND THIS APP WE BOTH NEED HELP.

Found it very difficult to use. It deleted apps on my daughters phone and completely screwed up her phone.
