  • You had better watch you bill

I subscribed directly with acorn. Later when I learned there was an app for it I down loaded it. Turns out to use the app it automatically subscribed to acorn through iTunes. So I paid both acorn and iTunes for the same service for a year. When I tried to talk to iTunes support they just keep saying only the first month was free. When I finally got them to understand that I was asking if the app itself was free and could I not use it to sight into my acorn direct subscription, I was told I had to purchase the subscription through iTunes in order to use the app. That is not how they present it. So not only was I charged twice for the same service, it was $2 a month higher. I feel lied to and cheated. Shame on you apple. Save your money and just log in and subscribe directly through acorns site or subscription through you amazon prime account. It’s cheaper and just as convenient

No problems at all so far. I would give it 5 stars if the iPhone screen would shut off while using HDMI adapter, it stays on full time on iPhone 8. Other than that, it’s working very well for me :-)

Not sure but I have been enjoying Acorn Tv for couple yrs,are as long as it’s been offered in USA market. There were some minor problems at first but no problems for a year now.I love Acorn TV .I have it downloaded on my iPad,so it goes everywhere I go,I never miss my favorite British TV series. I am a happy Acorn TV user if I could say one thing is the series do not come out fast enough. Now I also have BritBox on my iPad what acorn doesn’t carry BritBox does, but they are slow bring the series out.Thats my review.
  • App terrible, programming great

Every platform this app runs on is quirky. On Apple TV it shuts down and doesn’t remember what you’re watching. On Roku different issues. On the iPhone sometimes it doesn’t let you watch even though it’s logged in.

  • Can’t play on Fire TV

    By Angry Conservative
I’m so sorry I ever purchased a year’s subscription to Acorn. The trial period was perfect. After I purchased a subscription I can’t watch Acorn TV on either a Samsung or LG with the fire stick. The programs after about seven minutes of play stutter and finally crash then continue to crash every 5 minutes. I have no problems watching Acorn on my laptop or iPad. I have written to customer service and tried all of their fixes including restarting the modem, restarting the fire stick, deleting the app and reinstalling, clearing the cache, etc. I can’t seem to cancel the subscription because I purchased it for a year. They say to make sure I am running a current version. On Apple TV, version is 0.00. Why hasn’t the version been updated on Apple? BTW, I am able to stream Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon Prime with absolutely no problems. Thanks.
