TOUR GUIDE FOR SCENIC DRIVES OF VANCOUVER'S DOWNTOWN If you like driving yourself when you go sightseeing, GyPSy Guide™ tour apps allow you to enjoy a guided tour experience while remaining totally independent. By driving yourself, you'll be able to get from place to place faster, see you things and not be tied to anyone else's schedule DON'T MISS OUT ON THE BEST SIGHTS AND STORIES The tour apps use your device’s location abilities to play the commentary AUTOMATICALLY. All you have to do is drive, listen and decide which places you want to stop at. Our guides have created tours that highlight the very best of Vancouver's downtown area. We’ll recommend the best places to see and some great locations that most visitors don't get to see. PLAYS AUTOMATICALLY GyPSy Guide knows where you are and which direction you are heading, and plays commentary automatically about the things you are seeing, plus stories and tips and advice. EXPLORE LIKE A LOCAL It’s just like having a local friend to show you around. And that friend just happens to be a professional tour guide. GREAT VALUE The same information you would get on a bus tour or from a guide book, for just a fraction of the price. And you control the itinerary and schedule. WORKS OFFLINE No data, cellular or even wireless network connection needed while touring. Download over Wi-Fi before you tour. Anyone can use them with no data charges – even visiting from another country. DRIVING TOUR ROUTE We suggest starting on Robson St, the most popular street in Vancouver. Along our route we drive to these places and more: * Robson Street * Stanley Park * English Bay * Granville Island * Yaletown * Chinatown * Gastown * Spanish Banks, Point Grey & UBC There’s much more to see as we drive and GyPSy will be you very own tour guide all the way. NOTES Download the app on Wi-Fi from your network at home or use any free Wi-Fi network. Because the app is filled with audio commentary and maps, its larger than "normal" apps. Many phone/data networks may block the download because of size - so its important to download over a Wi-Fi network. ++ Continued use of GPS running in the background increases battery usage - we strongly recommend taking a cigarette style (DC outlet) car charger. This is much better than simply plugging into the USB port in a vehicle. ** iPad users - please note that WiFi-only iPads will not activate the commentary automatically. Any iPhone or network-capable iPad (WiFi + Cellular - whether you have a network connection or not) will work just fine. ABOUT US GyPSy Guide™ produce award winning audio tours along scenic drives around the world. In short the tour is wonderful, very informative, and very clear on where to go. We just finished a 3 hour join ride around Vancouver (including a ~20min stop). The route voice guidance is really lovely and encouraging. I’ve lived in Vancouver for 8 months and it took me to many new places! There are still things that should be improved. It doesn’t allow you to preview the route by panning around. Also, you have to use another GPS system to first get to a starting point of the route. These two seriously hamper the ease of use. Finally, if you do get messed up and make a wrong turn, it doesn’t guide you back onto the route. If these things were addressed, it’d be beyond a 5 star :D

This app gave my wife and I a great overview of the Vancouver (with perfect directions), which helped us decide how to make the most of our two days in the city. It proved to be a fantastic resource!

This was the first time I had used this application and it was fantastic! Saved ourselves at least $80 by not taking the typical tours offered by private firms. The best part was that we were in our own car and could take our own time. Very easy drive and excellent commentary. Took us through Stanley Park, Granville Island, Chinatown, Gastown, Yaletown etc. with interesting stories for each. Going to download another for Vancouver to Whistler trip! Highly recommend!
