  • Support for mydrive routes

Since customer service seems to respond to reviews faster than my emails. I purchased this subscription with the hopes of being able to use mydrive routes with it. This doesn’t seem to be the case, only places which doesn’t help me. Is this true?

Tom Tom took care of me. I still miss the premium voices that I purchased and I am annoyed that I had to pay (.99) for that temporary app that I didn’t get to use, because it was removed. I know; it is only .99, but I felt jerked around. That said, they are committed to customer service and this app/service. I have no issue with the new subscription model. I am want them to be profitable and stay in business. I do hope that they are willing to consider some feedback.

Finally migrated over to TomTom Go from the stand-alone app. Glad i waited, as there were some bugs with the earlier versions. It's been quite reliable so far. Love the daytime graphics but miss the green themed night mode, which matched my instrument cluster. Red light camera and speed/school zone warnings are helpful. Route planning has been good. Fingers crossed this app will work with Carplay after the IOS12 roll-out. Only complaint: no updates since May??
  • Not sure about it.

I want to use this app, but find myself going back to Google / Waze. POIs in this app are out of date. Example, it shows restaurants in my area that have been closed for about 2 years or more. What’s up with that??? Hard to trust any searches if I’m traveling somewhere I’m not familiar with. Would be nice if it actually searches the Internet with updated information.

I tried to really like this app, thought it would be great.. It was for a short time. Traffic reporting was great. Then problems started. Support chat and email was excellent. I was told to uninstall and re install the app which I did.. Fixed for a few days. Then when I needed it for a trip, it couldn’t find the gps signal... then when it did it would not stay connected. Bottom line is I’m not paying for a subscription to an app that fails when you need it most. I would recommend looking else where. Way to many bugs for a pay as you go app. Update.. it gets worse.. I set it up for a 41/2 hr Route that I know and have used google maps for.. The route was calculated at 11hrs 40 min.. Glad I didn’t take it!! Junk don’t bother!
  • Map quality not close to what it used to be

I can live with the app as such, but yesterday - the day after downloading a 5Gb and supposedly updated Europe map - on a single & simple road trip The navigation was incorrect at least 8 times, not even to mention the vast array of incorrect speed limits/cameras.... my Volvo’s own built in navigation was better up to date than this app/map. Come on tomtom! The only difference you can make nowadays is to have super-up-to-date maps....

Such a poor showing from the titans of navigation. Apple Maps, Google Maps, and Waze offer much better experiences (and for free). Edit: I don’t mind paying at all... in fact, I’m happy too if it ensures the feasibility of future updates. My issue is with the actual software. It is less reliable, less usable, a has less features than the previous software.
