Learn Spanish, French, Italian, German, and many more languages with Babbel. Developed by a team of language learning experts, Babbel has helped millions of people speak a new language with confidence. THE BABBEL METHOD Here’s what makes Babbel more effective than any other language learning app: 1. Confidence — Our goal is to get you speaking from your very first lesson. And our elegantly designed courses give you the confidence to get there. We teach you how to engage in practical, everyday conversations, making it easier for you to have authentic experiences in your new language. 2. Comprehension — Our lessons immerse you in relevant culture and real-life conversations. We want you to really take in the language, not just memorize useless phrases. And we provide helpful hints in English (or your native language) to make your new language more relatable. 3. Retention — We know you’re busy. That’s why our lessons are short but sweet: about 10-15 minutes, and designed to send your new language straight to long-term memory. We regularly refresh your memory with our dynamic review sessions, which target areas where you need improvement most. Finally, we make sure you really grasp what you’re learning by bringing it back later in a new context. • New update - super slow

    By boxedrat
The new update has made an already slow app even more slow making it frustrating to use
  • App itself works fine but not the best way to learn

    By Jussaying
I’m dating a native Dutch speaker and a lot of the sayings and phrases in this app are not the way people speak naturally. I get that they want you to learn the “textbook” version of the language but this isn’t even the way a toddler would learn a language. I think if languages were learned the same way they are when kids learn them, then they’d be much easier to catch on and use. I’m better off learning from my partner. And maybe watching blues clues or Sesame Street in Dutch. lol, but seriously. Paid for this app and now I’m already over it.

I just began and like it so far. It would be great if there was a meetup component either a teacher to have a more real experience.
  • Requires registration

    By Sterkur
Requires registration which means app was immediately deleted and would give it ZERO stars if possible. One star is the lowest though. Apple, with all your emphasis on personal privacy, why are such apps even allowed??? Response from the developer: "Hi, learning is personal; the app requires registration so that your progress can be saved and is easier for you to track." My answer to that is; this is the lamest excuse I’ve ever seen. I have a game that I can play and then leave it for a few days, weeks or months and it stays just where and how I left it. Even though I update the game and I update the System Software the status of the game is still intact. This game does not require any kind of registration. This answer from the developer is plainly just silly and rude! How offending! If this is the case, their programmers are nothing but incompetent. Please stay as far away from this application and especially away from this developer!!
  • French speakers talk to fast

    By cdergb
The speakers in the course talk too fast. They need to slow down and enunciate better. I have to keep repeating the phrases many times to get proper pronunciation.

  • It’s a great app But:

    By Joneil3
They should’ve added a dictionary in the app for reference, except for that it’s a great app it gives you everything for you to take off and have a conversation,it is working for me,Iam learning Spanish to Italian, they should’ve added Arabic and Thai and others or at least to be an option to download but I love it, Iam on it at least three times a day I dedicate a lot of time to Learn other cultures and languages, great app!!totaly worth it, Iam doing the monthly plan right now but i will pay for the whole year next time.
