  • Overpriced but good

    By Erickcathiel2511
It does what it says it does. The issue I have is that I have to pay an extra 8dls to get the Mac app, and I won’t be paying that much just to see the notes I take with my iPad, it is just nonsense.
  • Goodnotes Glitches

I am new to goodnotes so of course as I learn and research how to get the most out of the app I will notice things. First overall goodnotes is a nice app for taking notes and PDF annotations. It is also good for combining pictures, PDFs, etc into one organized flowing note system. This is why I prefer this way over paper. The problem I found is that there are some basic functionality issues that should be resolved. First, you cannot create what goodnotes calls “notebooks” directly under master categories that you create. In order to create “notebooks” in your master categories you have to create sub-categories; then create the “notebook” in the sub-categories. The only master categories that you can create “notebooks” in is the one goodnotes has put in the app called “uncategorized”. I should not have to create sub-categories unless I need them. Second the label “categories” and its drop down sections should flow better and be labeled better. It is confusing to navigate tp your master categories and your sub-categories, especially when you are trying to create notebooks”. The plus sign for adding “notebooks” is located beside categories on the main screen. But the plus sign for creating master categories is located inside the categories drop down box next to heading that is also labeled categories. These sections should be labeled more clearly and flow better. Third, I have gotten three error messages when trying to create “notebooks”. Even though the error message says it did not create the “notebook”, the notebook is actually created. Because of these major issues, I cannot give 5 stars. I will update as I use the app more; as I will be using it a lot.
  • Works well on the iPad with the pencil

    By SimplAna
Updating my review: I’m still really enjoying this application. I keep trying to find something better and haven’t yet. I would ask that you consider adding a recording button so I can record and review the recording at a later date. I only use this app on the iPad. I work from home and it allows me to always carry my notes on the iPad when I go to the office. I only wish I could upload excel files as well. For some reason it does not sync with my phone which is frustrating. If anyone can tell me what the problem might be I'd appreciate it. I downloaded a different app and turned out I hated it. Back to this one even though I have the sync problem.
  • Stylus doesn’t work

    By savan1426
My stylus pen works on every other app except this one. I wish I had know that this app only works with certain stylus lens before I purchased this app. 😭🙄😤
  • A note taking app that works.

    Keep up the good work.
  • Needs a scan cam with crop feature and we should be able to save individual pages not the whole note

By i would work for good grades
It’s an amazing app for school, yet I wish it had it own scan cam to add pages directly from the books and cropping it to our best interest. Also if we could save and share individual pages instead of sending the whole folder! I hope to see this in the near future
  • Emoji after exporting pdf

    By Prejin
Update 4.12.20 still didn’t fix the emoji problem after exporting pdf. Yes I gave a few strokes before exporting. It worked for some of the documents but not all. I’m really annoyed. I am using IPad 6th gen 2018 on IOS 11.4.1
  • Great app with only one very small request

    By VicMun509
This is such a versatile app! I use it mainly to take notes during training sessions at my job. The option to write over PDFs come in handy when I dl crossword puzzles from AMNewYork and complete them on my iPad instead of wasting paper. The one thing missing (and this is my personal opinion only) is a dotted paper option. I recently began bullet journaling and having the option to do that here would allow me to go entirely paperless
  • Best grocery list app!

    Love it!

Love this app. use it for everything. now fully paper free. feature request: would be nice if you could change the eraser mode (from erase full stroke to partial stroke) a little bit faster. right now, you have to go into the gear, but i use this feature so much, that it would be better to have the switch on the main eraser menu right next to the brush size. in addition, i believe that if you erase the middle of the stroke, the original stroke should divide into two strokes, so that you can move both halves independently. you currently cannot do this. thank you. keep up the great work!
