It is very flexible. ## Annotate PDF Documents; Fill and Sign Forms ## Great for saving time, paper, and the environment. Microsoft Word and PowerPoint files are supported too. ## Large Collection of Beautiful Covers and Papers ## Each template is carefully designed in vector format. Add your own template with an image or a PDF file. ## GoodNotes Does Not Slow You Down ## Thanks to the powerful zoom window feature, you can write quickly with your fingers or with a stylus in a large area, and your handwriting will be shrunk automatically. ## Just Write Them Down and Don’t Worry ## You can correct any mistake any time and it won’t become messy. The lasso tool will let you move things around or even resize them. ## Protect Your Valuable Data ## GoodNotes features a trash function to protect from accidental deletion. It can also backup your data to Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive automatically. ## GoodNotes is Also a Digital Whiteboard ## Your audience will not see the user interface — just the content — and you can choose which part of the page to show them. Many teachers and lecturers are already using GoodNotes to teach. ================ The screenshots use material from Wikipedia articles Photoelectric effect[1] and Internal combustion engine[2], which are released under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share-Alike License 3.0[3]. I use this app for all my note taking and for bullet journaling. The only thing I wish this app had was more pen options other than fountain and ballpoint for calligraphy.

Cannot switch color easily like OneNote by adding one more pen . Everything else is better than OneNote
  • Good app but could improve

There’s definitely features missing like the ability to rotate and change thickness of texts. Also would be nice if we could zoom out from beyond the size of the paper like in Procreate.

One of my first reviews stated the following: I was using Auto Backup, but my notebooks get updated every time I make a change. This results in VERY high data usage for my large notebooks (one is now 525 MB). (I keep my iPad connected to my iPhone’s hotspot.) Maybe they could figure out how to amend the backup function instead of replacing the whole thing each time? For now, I have to do a manual backup when I get to (non-cellular hotspot) WiFi, because my iPad doesn’t know the difference between using my cell phone’s hotspot and (landline) WiFi. ** Thank you, GoodNotes, for confirming that all backups require a full upload of all contents of the changed notebooks. Thanks also for confirming that no provision is made to make the backup function more data/time efficient. I update this review today, 11/8/97, to describe an issue where GoodNotes for iPhone appears to download updates on each launch of the app for notebooks that have not been changed since July, August and October 2018. That is, every time I open the app, the app will download several notebooks that have not changed since the last time a sync occurred. Fortunately, this review allows me to state that this anomaly is terribly inconvenient in that notebooks remain unavailable for editing until the update/sync is complete. This can take several minutes, as I have many notebooks of about 100 mb apiece. Even now, I switch back to the app from writing this review, and notebooks that completed syncing a few moments ago begin to sync again, with no changes to the notebook between syncs. In addition, I notice that my battery had dwindled to 35% from 71% in about 30 minutes. Now that I have taken the time to articulate a description of this additional issue, I anticipate a hearty discussion will be had to identify a patch. Blessings to you this Thanksgiving season! 2018.11.12 iPhone app fails to print all annotations on a single-page print job. The missing annotation includes three paragraphs of typewritten text in a text box in addition to a one-sentence typewritten box of text.

Overall a good app. However, it will automatically jump to eraser option sometimes which is annoying.I’m using iPad pro 2018.
  • Useless

There is no way to change the paper sizes. There are numerous requests to GoodNotes to have legal size papers. However, it still uses iso paper sizes, which is completely useless in the American market. Without the option to have legal size paper, this app is of no use.
  • Latest update issue/bug

As of the latest update i am unable to open or create documents without the app crashing. iPad Pro 2017 10.5” If you have the same issue, exporting seems to work for me. Export to another application if you need immediate access to the files. As a student I complete all of my work using this application. It works fanatically, however, I cannot recommend it if the developers release an obviously untested update that adds complication and obstacles to my workflow. Please fix with haste!
  • Don’t you guys test these releases??

I depend on this app for keeping my notes organized for school (2017 iPad Pro). This most recent update has it crashing every time I try to open one of my notebooks something I need to do to study. Pretty unacceptable if you ask me. I’ve heard good things about Notability, they might be getting my business real soon.
