  • Worst costumer service??? This app is not worth the time

    I ordered food from this app, super excited to get freaking chick fil a. Then like an hour later, I received a call telling me that my dasher couldn’t get my chick fil a and that i need to cancel my order and that I’ll have a discount on my next order and I’ll be totally refunded on the purchase. I was like, “okay cool refund and a discount awesome thanks doordash” then the next day I noticed they still charged my card and I was like, “wtf”. I called door dash and told them what happened and they had the AUDACITY TO TELL ME that they took my money and turned into store credit even though they made the f-ing mistake. So not only was the “discount” like $2 but I wasn’t given my money back, for a mistake they made. I ended up getting my money back but not after having to yell at them to get my way, like they weren’t having it until I f-ing yelled. I will never use this app again. Use Uber eats or postmates or something man. This app is isn’t worth the time.

    I used the app for the first time today and my driver called me and said she couldn’t bring me my food because she forgot some kind of card so I literally didn’t get my food until another driver got it and when I finally got my food it was cold

    I was impressed with the easy and simple interface that made everything convenient. The food arrived perfectly, 20 minutes early and with included thoughtfulness from Lajia. I have had issues with competitors so it was a big step to try one of these again. I will refer friends and keep ordering!
  • Unreliable Too Often

    After using and loving DoorDash several times a week for the last 3 years, I’m finally calling it quits and closing my account. Over the last 7-8 months, the service has become increasingly unreliable, and it’s just not worth it anymore, as yet again my family sits here hungry with no dinner. Eg: Tonight, the app said dinner would arrive by 7:45pm. Anxiously I checked the app at 7:35 noticing the tracker hadn’t moved and the dasher had not yet even arrived at the restaurant. I texted him to ask if there were any problems, and he said the restaurant hadn’t prepared the food yet. I asked if he could do something to check on it. And then silence. Crickets. Texted again, nothing. By then it was 8pm, the kids were moaning about how hungry they were, the dasher had gone MIA. And then voila - an email from DoorDash saying my order had been canceled. Expect a refund in 3-5 biz days. No explanation. No warning. No heads up BEFORE it was overdue. No reason given. And no longer worthy of my trust. Too many times DoorDash. I’m done.

    I’d say one out of every 3 orders goes well. I am constantly getting the wrong food. Sometimes it’s the restaurants fault often the dasher doesn’t seem to check if they picked up the right order. Extremely frustrating service very often.

    The app is working better, but live tracking barely works. Like I'll be sent a text saying my order is here, but when I look on the app it says it's still at the restaurant.

    Waited almost two hours to be told that they still didn’t know what was happening with my delivery. Deleted the app. Will never use again.

    I selected 9 items from Taco Bell (not my proudest purchase but follow me) In the DD app 9 items $26.13 plus tax and the 10% service fee brought my total to $30.99 - thankfully I have a free promotional delivery of $5.99 Presuming I tip the driver $3, I would be spending $34 - $39 on 9 items I went to Taco Bell (still not happy but ehh..) I selected the same 9 items At store 9 items $22.26 with tax already included So... 10% “service” fee from DD should have been $2.22, but it was $2.61 - doesn’t seem like much difference but it means that they inflated the pricing on the items - then charge us an inflated tax AND an inflated service fee. PLUS a delivery fee. I saved over $10 just driving to the store with no extra effort. I’m rather disappointed that 10% would have cost me 30% more

    Doordash is a disgusting company with 0 competence, ethics, or integrity. Someone hacked into my account and ordered over $100 worth of food. How do I know I was hacked? Because I received an e-mail the same day as the charge telling me that my email address associated with the account was changed. That email was addressed to someone who’s name was not mine. I immediately contacted door dash since that’s what the email said to do if I did not make that change as they “take privacy seriously” (*cough* they don’t), and was given the run around FIVE+ times via e-mail! It would seem that if you send in a ticket and an agent replies, you are given a reference number. Replying directly to the email doesn’t seem to do anything as I never got replies from doing so! So I had to keep going to the support ticket page and mention my reference number, which a new one was assigned every time. Either way no one knew what was going on, kept asking me for the same information I had already given, and all around acting like chickens with their heads cut off and no knowing what their left is doing from their right. So I went to their Facebook and left a comment and not surprisingly there were MANY comments of people who have endured the same thing. I was told by Doordash to PM them directly and that has proven to be faster communication, however, they literally told me they don’t know what to do to resolve my situation! Are you freaking kidding me?? THEN they claim they will “promptly” get back to me with a resolution via email, but at the time of this review that was 5 days ago. That does not in any universe equate “prompt”. Several people have commented that they’ve been waiting months now for a refund from fraudulent charges. I have contacted my bank and they are undergoing an investigation with doordash. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY IF YOU VALUE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION AND YOUR MONEY! Absolutely deplorable!
  • Worst delivery service I ever used

    I’ve used many different food delivery services and I thought I would try out door dash because some restaurants are exclusive to the certain service. I had a party of fellow bartenders at my house and we ordered pizza from Little Ceasar’s. The pizza is already made, lol. It took a little over 3 hours with only one “oops something went wrong text” (it was originally quoted to only take 20 minutes). I tried to cancel and get a refund and a man told me “no it’s on the way soon” and when the driver arrived she circled the apartment building twice, then complained she would have to get out of her car. I walked out to the street and she rolled down the passenger window where I grabbed the pizza myself. I had already tipped her 30% on the app so I guess she didn’t care. Instantly deleted the app. Door Dash is TRASH!
