  • All players beware, inno doesn’t care about helping you

    By joseph A the magnificient
I have played this game for over two years and found it to be very entertaining, until recently my ritual flames were glitching and covering up other buildings. I decided to delete them all to make space for more valuable buildings. I went to delete one that was covering my level 68 arc, and since I clicked on the ritual flame graphic I assumed I was on the flame so checked the box and deleted my arc instead. All inno would do was give me a set of blue prints and the goods to rebuild it, even though their glitched caused this to happen, and cost me 58 sets up prints, thousands of fps, and countless hours spent leveling it. All I asked was for inno to make me whole by giving the 58 sets of prints back and the forge points to make my arc level 68 again because this was caused by their software, and all they cared about was themselves and not their customer. So all beware that if you need support or help from inno, they won’t give it unless it is convenient for them, players happiness be damned.

  • Good game, a few critiques

    By Psycho456
I really enjoy this game. I think for the most part it’s designed really well and incorporates a lot of aspects that I really like. I do have a few critiques though. #1 It’s ridiculous that the game has been around this long and there’s still not a way to block people from messaging you in mail. I hear they’re working on it but it’s LONG overdue. #2 I think the plundering system could use a little work. I know a lot of people are really frustrated by it and want to get rid of it completely but I don’t think it needs to go that far. I get plundered maybe once a day and it’s annoying, but doesn’t hinder my gameplay all that much. However, I can see how the people getting plundered by multiple people daily could get seriously frustrated. Maybe make it so each player can only be plundered by 3 people a day? That could certainly make life easier on the people being bombarded by plunderers without taking plundering away from the people who enjoy doing it. #3 I’m in the Early Middle Ages and the first house you unlock is a downgrade (population wise) from the last house you unlock in the Iron Age. The Iron Age cottage gives 73 people but the EMA frame house is only 67 people?? It does give more coins, but it’s not worth it since it costs almost 3x as many coins to build it as the cottage and since expansions are scarce enough as it is, I can’t afford a population downgrade like that. Which means if I want to get my population up enough to build the things I need, I have to either pay diamonds to unlock multistory houses or wait until I can unlock clapboard houses which is 3 branches farther down in the tree. And there aren’t any expansions between there on the tree either which makes increasing my population even harder. It’s seriously slowing down my gameplay. IMO each house upgrade should ALWAYS increase population. Otherwise what’s the point? All that being said, this is overall a really good game and they did a really good job on it. I might amend this review as I get further in the game, but I’ve have had it for a few weeks now and am really enjoying it.
  • Game is well thought out and content goes all the way to the future

Works pretty well, very minor bugs, has to be played while online, can be won without paying but paying gives you huge advantage. Sometimes the balances are off, and things cost too much. I’m glad they fixed the negotiations because they would always take diamonds which you have to purchase. I love the promotional updates, they are free to play and you get a lot of prizes that can further your gameplay, I hope to see more. The music is good and the story is ok but at least written clearly and with no grammar errors. Guild play is ok. You don’t really get any rewards. Guild bank is useless, it makes you waste resources for almost nothing. It would be useful if we could trade forge points to buy resources from the guild bank. Overall I like the game and play it every day. Thanks Dev Team

Fun game to play and pass the time away.
  • They don’t tell you about plundering.

If you’re looking for a nice game where you can peacefully build your city by making mutually beneficial relationships with other players, skip this game. It seems in the description of this game and the TV commercials they forget about telling you about plundering. This is where one player can attack your city, and take your resources. Furthermore, the deck is stacked against defending your city. Attackers can start getting buildings to boost their attacking army strength at the first level, defenders can’t get buildings to strengthen their defending army until the fifth level. And there are more buildings that strengthen attacking armies then there are that strengthen defending armies. There is no way to opt out of this plundering and usually players do not find out it even exists until they are plundered. Also, the rules do allow attackers to demand resources in exchange for not attacking your city. In other words blackmail is legal. I know of players that have left the game in frustration when they could not build their cities, because their resources were constantly being stolen.
  • Fun to a point

It started out to be fun BUT two issues: anyone tells you it’s free is incorrect, if you want to progress passed the Iron Age you need to spend money. Second, if you want to progress you will need a more complete set of instructions! There brief hints just don’t cut it. There needs to be a detailed set of instructions somewhere online.
