Because they practice the skills daily, and because the site provides feedback, students are able to correct their mistakes and master the concepts easily.” - Waleska Batista, teacher, Cherry Hill, New Jersey, U.S.A. “My favourite feature of IXL is that if you get a question wrong IXL will tell you how to solve it and what you did wrong. Another thing I really enjoy is that IXL provides awards and progress reports showing how you do over time. I think these two things are very effective because they make the student feel like they are actually studying and not wasting time.” - Student, Calgary, Alberta, Canada “This program takes the frustration out of math because it allows the student to practice at his/her own pace and stay focused. It's okay if you mark one wrong because another one will be waiting. This is a great tool to have.” - Parent of a 4th grader, California, U.S.A. “We like the rewards and certificates; our children work very hard to receive these! The reports are also brilliant in keeping us informed of the levels our children have reached and where they need extra help.” - Parent, Coolah, NSW, Australia “My students are improving by the day, and some even stay in for recess to work on IXL!” - Helm Jackson, 5th grade teacher, Redmond, Washington, U.S.A. • Kids should still have some fun

    By Look at plz
The app is good, the thing is that if you make them do back to back work it is no fun. So what you should do is add small games. The reason why you should do that is because kids can be bored and then not have fun learning. Also If you are giving like challenges like win an IPad mini that is too much. So what the kids would do is put all there time on IXL and no activity’s outside or there technology. So don’t put challenges like this. Over all 4 out of 5
  • I hate this app

This app is not good I hate it and you go back a lot of levels to get you mad so yay don’t get this app
  • Really great (exactly what I need!), but…

    By Kkgdsaqyibcrewqashlu
This is exactly what I was looking for. It tells, in order, about what a child would learn in Language Arts & Math during all grade levels. It’s really helpful for what I needed it for. I just have one thing to complain about, and that is what happens when I exit the app and come right back to it. I can be in the middle of looking at the First Grade list, exit to my music app for a max of 5 seconds, come back and it basically refreshes and is at the top of the Pre-K list. So, please can you make it where it will NOT refresh the app if I exit and come right back? Because other than that, this is great for what I needed it for.
  • Awesome!

I love using IXL!! It helps me learn how to do things quickly and learn a lot!!
  • Useless

    By anhskkwoo
When I make a mistake it goes dong dong and takes lots of points from you so it can not understand that everyone makes mistakes and it is also hard at times and there is no point to have pictures as prizes why not an arcade where you can get tokens and you can win prizes like easy questions and second chances and there should be partial credit If the question is partial right you should improve the app and don’t let your child suffer and waste your money on the subscription
  • I love it!!

This app is great if you want your kids to have depression.
  • It's good but sometimes discouraging

    By MKJProudMom
IXL is an app that really helps me with math. Sometimes though, the system really bothers me. So what exactly it is is that you have to answer a bunch of questions until you get to a smart score of 100, and until you get to sixty you go up by ten and if you make a mistake you go down by one. But once you get to seventy you go up by three or four and down by five. But ninety is where it gets really discouraging. It takes you up by one and down by six. And sometimes it makes me angry and disheartens me. IXL can be very discouraging, but it does help me learn. It is a free app and it is completely ad free, with a variety of skills available to master. The only thing that could really improve drastically is the awards and the grading system. Thank you for reading my review.
  • Could be way better

    By ugghhhelp
I have been doing IXL for 4 years now. Let me tell you this I once cracked the iPad because of this app. The concept of the app is pretty good. The app itself is not the best. I think that it has a potential of being one of the best in its league. But as a user if the app it does not teach anything. It just gives kind of a hash expiation. And this is only referring to the mathematics portion. The other parts like the science and social studies is way better. But the reading is slowly catching up. The algebra and calculus is probably one of the best things in the app. It is simple and unlike the math part, the explanation is LONG but sweet. It has something to it that makes it so much funnier then the rest of the app. But back to the math part. (Yes there is more) Anyway the last thing that I have to say about this just that they can improve this by a lot. Like a lot. So this is why I gave it 2 stars
  • Another reason I hate this app and I hate the creator

    By mkkkskkskss
So here you go again being a cheater I had the negative sign in the answer box but instead since you knew I was right and your still in pre-K you wanted to still my answer and then say it was wrong
