  • Switched item, higher price than top store, impossible return

    Unless you have access to a computer and a gmail account you cannot make a return. They cannot get a return set to go through the app - not with a label printed. For the return label you will need a computer! Double check your online price - theirs was higher than Williams and Sonoma for the same cookware. Virtually could not cancel the order placed on a Saturday for a vendor that opens on Monday and could not get a refund for an entire week. Worst online purchase and return experience in a decade

    I find it hard to go to a specific shop. The old app has the stores icon where i can easly browse in a specific store. Now its so confusing

    I was trying to use the convenience of Google Express to prepare for my unborn sons arrival. When I received the crib mattress I ordered I eagerly set it up but to my dismay there was a bend in the mattress that would not flatten out. This would not be safe for me to lay my newborn on. So I started the return process. I was told I could return to target and receive a gift card, which I was fine with. When I went to Target they told me they couldn’t help me. When I called Google Express they told me a number to give them that would secure the return and that didn’t work either. Now I’m being told I have to ship the item back to get the refund. This just became very inconvenient for me. Contemplating not using Google Express again. It’s a bad reflection on Google as a whole.

    Since I discovered this app I’ve been nothing but pleased. I can find things I can’t on Amazon and generally at better prices and with faster, or cheaper, shipping. Definitely check this out if you like saving your money.

  • Charged for out of stock items twice

    I ordered a pair of sunglasses through this service and was charged for it even though it was out of stock. I checked the order and it said they had the sunglasses in stock again so I reordered but come to find out they were still out of stock. I was then charged again while still waiting for my first refund to be processed. At this point I had two charges and no pending refunds for an order that would never be fulfilled. I spoke with customer service and they admitted that both charges were a mistake on their end but they couldn't do anything and I had to wait 7-10 business days for a return refund to go through. I asked if they could do anything else because it wasn't a return but an out of stock item and they said they would reach out to an escalations team and get back to me. I never heard back from them. I understand when things are out of stock and refunds take awhile but with the lack of accurate availability information and the fact the refund was being issued as a return instead which caused my bank account to be charged twice makes me not want to use the service again. I'll stick with Amazon for online shopping. According to Google Express’ own terms of service: If any part of your order cannot be fulfilled for any reason (other than your not being present to sign for a delivery when that option is selected at checkout), that part of your order will be automatically cancelled and you will not be charged for the items that comprise the unfulfilled part of your order.

    Only giving one star because giving zero stars isn’t an option. Don’t waste your time!! Order directly from the merchant. My experience with these guys began in May (over 2 months ago) when I placed my order. The expected delivery date came and went and I still hadn’t received any updates on my order. Spoke to customer service who advised me there was a “temporary glitch” in the system and my order had been cancelled on their end for some reason. They gave me a $25 credit to use and I thought “WOW, how great!!” and placed my order again.. only to have it canceled once again. And again a third time. Here’s a tip Google Express: take all the $20 credits you’re giving away in an attempt to compensate for your terrible service and put it towards fixing those temporary glitches. PS.. two months is not really “temporary”.

    On June 14, I ordered 2 small items from Unlimited Cellular in New Jersey. The projected arrival was June 25 which seemed like a long time. On June 25 I started a return (there’s no Cancel on the app). Suddenly on the 25th USPS showed it shipped. Finally arrived on June 28th. Crappy service. Deleting the app after this post.
