    Aside from their deceptive billing practices and exploitative trial period, the program is incredibly dull and condescending. Anyone who understands nutrition and basic psychology would already know most of their program pillars that they’ve slapped some buzzy names on. At best this program is an overpriced Facebook weight loss group and Fitbit app. In fact, the Fitbit app is more helpful. Nutritional information is horrible aside from “eat fruits and veggies.” Most of us “millennials” struggle with a takeout and on the go lifestyle so recipes were daunting to find and ridiculous to execute. No support was given on the front of balancing work meals and on the go travel nutrition. They also don’t tell you your trial is ending until after they’ve charged you hundreds of dollars without giving you plan and program options, then refuse to issue refunds. Avoid. Anything else is better.

    I highly recommend this program for anybody looking to make long-term changes to their lifestyle. For me that means how and when and what I eat and it also means how I work out and schedule my time throughout the day. It also allows you to see where you can do better and have a team back you up and motivate you when you need a little extra help. The coaches are fantastic as are the groups in the nutritionist. I definitely recommend this program.

    This app is just a clever way to part the consumer with their money. It really does nothing more than a free app like my fitness pal can do other than have a coach text you platitudes and reminders. Certainly not worth the $129 a month!!! Also I was charged before my 30 day trial was complete. You cannot call to cancel, but have to cancel with “your coach through the app.”

    There are better apps for tracking your intake. Canceling is not easy. I asked to cancel, during my free trial and was ghosted by my personal coach.
  • Good ideas but execution is lacking

    I enjoyed some aspects of this ap. The articles and quizzes were interesting and informative. However, the coaching and other aspects were lacking. I’m not sure if my coach was a real person or just computer generated responses to my comments. All “her” comments were pretty bland and generic. In addition, you are apparently supposed to be placed in a group with other Noom members for support which I never was. When I asked about the group 6 weeks later I was put into a “quiet group” with others who also had never been put into an “active group,” had cancelled membership (me) or out there for a few other reasons. I kinda felt like I was in trouble for no reason. Several of us asked to be put into an active group so we could see if this made a difference in our ap experience but, no response after 48 hours. I am also in agreement with others that the food logging is lacking. After a somewhat timely process of entering a few “meals” they didn’t show up in my food for the day nor did it recall my “meal” the following week. Lastly, I really wanted to concentrate on toning and building muscle and not as much on losing weight. Although I listed this in my goals there was no way to track this nor was this ever brought up by my coach. This is not a cheap ap at $49/month. Definitely not worth it to me.

    I’m amazed. NOTHING HAS WORKED FOR ME. They make it fun, easy, and give baby steps. I lost 5 pounds In one week with Noom. I have been unsuccessful for 9 years!

    Difficult to get money refunded... made attempt to cancel prior 14 day trial end but message didn’t go through until morning of day 15 and will not refund my money. I do not recommend.

    Not impressed with the app. The food data is inaccurate far too often. Also, nowhere to see macronutrients or other meal data except calories. This is a huge flaw! Macros are very important to understand along with counting calories. Otherwise I could just eat 3 cheeseburgers a day within my calorie budget and call it a day - WRONG. Also, the group isn’t as supportive as I would have hoped. I’m sure each one is different, but I didn’t find it helpful in the emotional area. All in all, $50/month for this program is WAY overpriced. You can get the same information with even more data and detail, in several other fitness apps. Minus the coaching.... which is only so-so anyway. I haven’t been impressed at all with the coaching... for $50/mo.
