    I’m in week 10 of Noom and I thinks it’s bs. 1) says based on psych, science, and such but those disciplines always in debate. 2) I’ve counted calories and steps for 10 weeks and lost maybe 2 lbs. feel deprived with no reward. 3) the online group feature is supposed to be supportive but the one time I posted about my discouragement I woke up to 20 strangers (nicely) telling me I was probably doing it wrong. NOT inspiring. 4) the cutesy and clever jokes were fun at first but got increasingly annoying. 5) the app uses “evil elephant” as the symbol of our worst impulses which bugged me b/c it seems like fat shaming and b/c I like elephants.

    Noom came at a great time. Struggling with my weight for years; I am finally losing weight. Also learning a lot about foods in general that I thought I already knew. Between your personal graph and the support systems in place the weight is staying off. Thanks Noom!

    Noom is not a diet! It is a lifestyle change based in fact. It destroys weight lose myths. It makes u aware of all aspects of life and how they affect your eating habits. Then it helps u learn how to reform those habits into a healthy, sustainable lifestyle. You become part of a community of people that are all following the same teachings, yet u all retain your individuality within the community as u learn. Anyone who is willing to submerse themselves completely in the program will succeed in losing weight, gaining energy, feeling and looking younger and more vibrant, and having a more positive outlook in regards to themselves and life. I have 11 days left in the 4 month program and 4 lbs left to lose to reach my goal of losing 40lbs. I have no doubt in my mind that I will reach this goal and never have the weight boomerang back on me. Yes, it can seem daunting at times, but honestly it is the most and easiest weight I have ever lost in my life. And I enjoyed it! Forget those fad diets that will never last u a lifetime, and enjoy the freedom that comes with Noom 😁

    This app is awful. It’s mostly a bunch of ridiculous pages of “Noom nerd” made up words and nonsense. It doesn’t do anything special that other cal tracking apps can’t do.

    I’m five weeks in. I’ve lost seven pounds. It’s not much, but I have to say that I’m truly enjoying this weight loss. The past attempts have been so stressful because of how stringent they were. I’ve actually celebrated things like National Eggs Benedict Day and had glasses of wine and I love Otter Pops at night. This program is, most importantly, empowering in its education. I’ve learned so much. I’m mid-50s and it’s not easy to lose, especially with my underperforming thyroid. I highly recommend this to all those who are willing to be patient and realize that even if it takes a year to lose your weight, in a year you’re going to feel great and be able to keep it off forever. And we all know how quickly a year goes by. I need to lose 25-30, and I haven’t even stepped on a treadmill yet or exercised at all except for the walking which I already was doing. I’m committed, have much more to learn about metabolism and how things affect my body, which this program teaches you, and am looking forward to the day soon when I can get back into my expensive clothes!!! THANKS, NOOM!!!
