Hinge is the dating app that’s great at one thing: setting you up on great dates. And we’re not just saying that. On Hinge, 3 out of 4 first dates lead to second dates and we’re the #1 dating app mentioned in The New York Times wedding section. So if you’re looking for a BFF, a job, a pen pal, or a hookup, Hinge isn’t the place for you. Hinge is exclusively designed to get you out on great dates. Here’s how we do it: We quickly learn your type. You'll only be introduced to the best people for you. We give you a sense of someone’s personality. You'll get to know potential dates through their unique answers to prompts, and basic information like religion, height, and politics. We make it easy to start a conversation. Every match begins by someone liking or commenting on a specific part of your profile. Recently released! *Most Compatible: Each day we pair you with the one person we think you’re most likely to hit it off with. • Premium not worth it

    By K.C.83
The premium version is basically the same as the free version, except you get to see all your likes. That’s literally all you’re paying for. Complete waste of money

  • Too good to be true

I’ve been using Hinge for a couple of days now, and as an average looking guy, I can tell you that this app is just Tinder repackaged for dating, but worse. It boils down to this: the app’s main draw of “real dating” is an illusion. The intent of the app doesn’t affect a girl’s (or a guy’s) preferences at all. For men, the key is still to create the most enticing profile possible, which can be difficult depending on your appearance and where you’re at in life. It’s still all about having good pictures. You must answer three questions for your bio, but the questions are superficial and the presentation encourages short answers. Plus you’re limited to three. So why is Hinge worse than Tinder? For starters, the app offers an expensive premium service to remove two painful restrictions. You’re only allowed to like a handful of people per day, which is a problem for most guys, since your match rate will probably be low. You’ll have to use the app every single day for a long time to get a decent number of matches. Next, for girls (and pretty boys), you can only see your likes in sequential order. You must decide if you like someone before seeing your next potential match. This is bad if you’ve got a short attention span. Other problems aren’t removable. Like Tinder, Hinge has an internal concept of “leagues”, which is exactly what it sounds like. However, Tinder is much more subtle about it. You’ll still see hot chicks even if you’ve been deemed as less attractive. With Hinge, one day you’ll see the hottest girls and the next you’ll be like “where’d they go”? For an service that rails on Tinder for being superficial, Hinge has filters to make matches more exclusive. The most valuable ones are free to use too. The worst? A height filter. Even if you’re clueless with women, you should know that they like tall guys. In theory, they say 6’ and up, but in practice, it’s usually a similar height or taller. Theory dominates dating apps. If the platform was truly focused on dating for “true love”, there should be three options in the filter: “shorter than me”, “taller than me”, and “same height as me”. Don’t expect anything different from Hinge. For the average dude in his 20s, online dating is a waste of time.

Would be nice if you could put filters so you only match with those people without buying the app.... Too many notifications- just want message notifications.
  • Scams

    By asithasit
So far everyone on this app has a Goggle phone or request you to have a google hangout. Then they try to pull a scam. A definite fake app and should be shut down.
  • Fix the messaging

    By fhhrfhdb
Good platform. Glitchy as hell. I’ve repeatedly sent messages that aren’t delivered until much later and gotten messages that were sent much earlier. They really gotta fix that, it leads to awkward situations and missed connections
  • Best app

    By bboyk28
I found my wife on this app , if you’re patient and genuine then this is a good app to find someone that’s looking for the same thing. The user interface is quite good also I might add. Many thanks to the developers. God bless.
  • Hinge is okay

    By Lathoran
Hinge is okay, but it’s frustrating you can not do simple things like paste photos, interest GIFs, etc.
