Take a look at our screenshots for step by step instructions. When you're on a call and you want to record it, open TapeACall and press the record button. We will put your call on hold and dial our recording line. As soon as our line answers tap the merge button on your screen to create a 3 way call between your other caller and our recording line. If you want to record an outgoing call, just press the record button. The app will dial our recording line and will begin recording as soon as our line answers. Once that happens, tap the add call button on your screen, call the person you want to record, then press the merge button when they answer. —————————————————————— Can I download recordings to my computer? Yes, and we've made it extremely easy to do this. From inside the app you can attach the recording to an email and send it to yourself as an MP3, or you can click the share button and find a short URL that you can type into your computer's browser. —————————————————————— How many recordings can I make? As many as you want! We don't have a limit on the number of recordings you can make. —————————————————————— If you choose to upgrade to TapeACall's Pro subscription with unlimited extended duration recording for 1 year, you will be charged a price according to your country. The price will be shown in the app before you complete the payment. Your TapeACall unlimited recording subscription automatically renews every year and your iTunes account will automatically be charged within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can turn off auto-renew at any time from your iTunes Account Settings. 9.99 USD / 13.99 CAD / 169.00 MXN / 14.99 AUD / 14.99 NZD / 1200 JPY / 68.00 CNY / 14.98 SGD / 78.00 HKD / 300 TWD / RP 149ribu IDR / 620 INR / 749 RUB / 26,99 TRY / 35.90 ILS / 199.99 ZAR / 36.99 SAR / 36.99 AED / 7.99 GBP / 79,00 DKK / 95,00 SEK / 10.00 CHF / 109,00 NOK / 9.99 EUD Privacy Policy: tapeacall.com/privacy Terms of Service: tapeacall.com/terms

Bought the pro version of this app and was happy with it before they decided to change their pay model out of the blue and offered no grandfather policy for people who already owned the app. Buy this app if you’re ok with the devs screwing you over after you buy. If not, avoid it.
  • Hidden Carrier Fees - MetroPCS

I paid for the Pro version, but could not place a call to the recording line, due to restrictions by MetroPCS. MetroPCS and possibly other carriers require an additional service feature, called “Select Shared Calling” by MetroPCS, to allow calls to chat/conference lines, even though I can make three way calls with my current plan. Be sure you check if your phone service provider requires additional features to use this app, before purchasing TapeACall. Update: after emailing support about this issue, I received an automated email back, but still no response after several weeks. There is no workaround for this critical issue.
  • Your Recordings Get Locked Away

Make sure to download your recordings immediately because if you don't and your subscription runs out, you won't be able to access them without renewing. Also a year ago the app cost $9.99 and now it's $19.99 and for the life of me I can't figure out what functionality they added that would justify doubling the price.
  • Works well .. when it works

Sometimes the app works and sometimes it doesn’t. When it works, you get a nice, clear recording. But about 30% of the time (for me), I’ve completed a call, only to find that the “recording” is 35 minutes of silence. I connected the call properly and yet no audio. I’m a writer and it’s simply not reliable for work or anything important.
  • All the reviews looked so good....

But sadly this app doesn’t work. You just finish your call with a blank recording the length of the conversation. Better to buy a sandwich for lunch with your 10 bucks.

Great app, lame year plan for it.
  • Beep Tones MANDITORY?

    2
    By WriteGuy1960
I was surprised to see in this most recent release on June 28th, 2018 that the beep tone option no longer has a toggle switch in order to enable or disable it. And then out of nowhere, the toggle switch re-appeared. I hope this is just a system bug, and that the developer does not intend to disable the option to turn off beep tones in future updates. Beep tones mean that people will be guarded in what they say when you are communicating with them. And I’m talking about recordings for personal records and not public, legal, or court admissible consumption.
  • It Used to Be Good, Now Not So

I purchased the app outright at I believe $9.99. It now has went to a subscription service and it won’t allow you to restore purchase to the version that you as paid for outright . Reading the terms and services agreement , they can basically do whatever they want with no liability. Highly disappointed by this new approach.
  • I paid for the app and now they want more money.

I paid $10 for the Pro version of this app. It worked great. Now when I go back to use it, they won’t let me access it without paying an additional subscription fee. Downright unethical to ask me to pay for something I’ve already bought. There’s a reason I spent money on the pro edition in the first place. So disappointed.
  • DON’T UPDATE TO 4.1.0

    By iZen 2.0
4.1.0 REQUIRES a tone to be played to the other party every 30 seconds to notify the other party that they are being recorded. This defeats the whole purpose of the app and violates apple’s terms of service in that TapeACall changed their terms of service in the middle of the paid subscription contract period without due process. The ‘tone’ was an option on the previous version. Now the tone on the app is mandatory. Many states do NOT require notifying the other party that they are being recorded. Only one party needs to be notified that the call is being recorded in MOST states. This app is no longer useful. Will delete and will ask for a refund since they changed the terms of service in the middle of the subscription period. Sad to see TapeACall go!
