  • Reminder on friend missing medication

I like a lot about Medisafe. It is frustrating, however, that it doesn’t tell me which medicine my family member is missing. That is crucial information.
  • Ok app

Well first thing when looking at wether or not you want the app, is says to “Tap here “ you can’t. It’s not highlighted to see a list of participating facilities. You can’t even hold for a couple of seconds to be able to copy and paste it. Next in app purchases are ridiculous, look into doing advertising for pharmaceutical companies, so there aren’t any in app purchases. Excluding those two things the app is ok. My alarm goes off to remind me to take my meds, like clockwork, it’s never failed me. It is extremely reliable.

I have to take ADHD medication three times a day at 4.5 hour intervals. I have the medication set up for specific times, but when I take the first pill late, I have to reschedule the other two every single time. It would be amazing if I could just put in the time I took the first pill late, and then have the other two adjust automatically! I would also love for the notification to actually include the drug name as it makes it sound. It’s hard to keep track of which medication the reminder is for. I would also love if you could add supplements and have the interactions show up. When you add your own supplement that isn’t listed in the system it won’t list the interactions. Aside from that, I LOVE this app. You can see any possible interactions for meds in your cabinet and read the side effects and info about each medication. It’s great!!

I would give it 5 stars if the import feature actually worked. Can log into my CVS account from my CVS account, however this app; in which CVS is on this apps list of pharmacy that it can import from will not connect. Argh, it’s frustrating as hell.
  • So far it’s amazing

I like the interface and alerts, got this app just for meds. Still not able to connect with CVS Caremark to download prescriptions so 1 star deduction. Will update when solved. Looks like there are a lot of functions that I currently have spread among other apps, I will look at consolidating into this one on a case by case basis. Then we might need a six star capability!!!

I would recommend that anyone with medication that is very important to take regular, keep track of your own pills because this app sometimes skips and missed notifying me of mine. My whom also uses it, crashes on her when she records her medication. You might think that’s okay, but it’s a real pain in the butt when your meds are keeping you alive… also I wish it would incorporate better with Apple health app… and maybe sell what they have to Apple so they can make it better.
  • Almost there....

Ok, I have been using this app for the better part of a year and I have to tell you a few things. First of all when I was having issues tech support worked with me to try and resolve as much as we could. This app connects to my health care providers web portal and pulls all my personal prescription medications into the app, thus negating possible spelling mistakes, dosage inaccuracies and the like. It will not pull the prescription number or how many doses are included. This is true for the pharmacy pull as well. So there is some editing needed when prescriptions are added. Second, it fails to pull the name of the prescribing doctors of each medication. Again you will need to edit some information but its not that bad or hard. Thirdly, it connects to Apple Watch and gives the option to mark down that you took your medication, however it needs to have the iPhone unlocked and the app to be running. Which kinda negates the point of the app being on the watch in the first place, but it is my understanding that they are working on it. Now while we’re on the subject of the watch and marking medications taken is where I’d like to expand on a point or two. I am personally taking a bunch of pain killers (class 2 narcotics) on an as needed basis (or PRN) as it were. When you are on the phone and you swipe left on the name of a specific medication you get the white box to add a dose. In this while box you cannot see the last time it was taken. If you go into the medication itself then you will see the last time and date if needed that it was taken. What really truly needs to be added is how much time has elapsed since the last dose taken. I know that I personally have an issue trying to figure out how much time elapsed when I am in pain and even if I do manage it sometimes I’m going to make mistakes. Hence why I personally feel that an elapsed time needs to be in there as well as the possibility of a warning popping up if the two doses are being taken too early. In addition I would have the app send the same warning to the medfriend notifying them that I am making a mistake with the timing. Of course we would need the ability to override the warning, but there needs to be a warning notification. Now while nowhere near as serious, it would be nice if the app could be expanded to have an iPad option where it isn’t just an iPhone app that is stretched a bit to be on an iPad. If y’all could get this app to work on multiple devices at the same time that would be phenomenal. While I understand that I need to log out from one device to use another with my account it would be great if say my HHA while administering to me can mark down that she/he gave me whatever med she/he did. This allows us multiple advantages from firstly knowing if I took the pills myself or the aid administered them. This way in case there is an issue everyone would know who to ask what of. It can also be made to only work on my account when near me and my device. So on the whole I would want to give this a 4.5 instead of just a four. I would also most definitely recommend this app to those that need it. If a bug pops up the company is fairly good about jumping on it and getting the bugs out of the app as well as being prompt about getting back to customers who noticed the problem in the first place as well as working towards a solution So with hopes of good health to all that read this I’ll bid you all good luck.

It finds the right Med in the right dosage in a comprehensive list, so I could create my own accurate list. It evens has the shape and color next to the med to verify it. I like the reminder notifications to help me remember to take the meds, and I really like that I can check off that I took each one in case I get confused later. It time stamps when I took each one. I haven’t even explored the full functionality of the app.
  • Unusual medication intervals still not supported

Still can’t put in reminders for every 10 hrs or 30hrs. It’s either the same time every day or every n-days at the same time. And who is in most need of reminders? Those that have to take stuff at inconvenient intervals.
