Tours work offline, using free GPS signal and location services, so no data roaming, network, or wifi is required while touring. Visit for route maps, sample audio, tips and advice and what to know before you go. It’s Just Like Having a Tour Guide in Your Car™ WHAT TO EXPECT: Includes 3 road trips to explore from Las Vegas (+ Bonus Las Vegas Boulevard, The Strip & Old Vegas) GRAND CANYON WEST RIM The West Rim is the closest and most accessible area to view the Grand Canyon and the location of the optional glass SkyWalk. It’s a full day drive from Las Vegas through lots of desert, so we’ll fill the journey there with stories about the canyon, so you’ll know what to expect and be a little more knowledgeable about the geology, wildlife and people that make this a Natural World Wonder. On the drive back to Las Vegas, you’ll hear stories about some of the unique characters from Las Vegas history, Area 51, Atomic City and more. HOOVER DAM The Hoover Dam is a short 1/2 day trip from Las Vegas and remains an impressive engineering achievement. Be amazed at the height of the concrete walls, water levels of Lake Mead, the view looking down from the bypass bridge, or go behind the scenes and add on a tour inside the Power Plant. It’s all impressive. RED ROCK CANYON Red Rock Canyon is only 30 minutes from the Strip, but gives you a glimpse into the Mojave desert environment that borders Las Vegas. The 13 mile scenic loop drive has many viewpoints, seasonal waterfall oasis, and hiking opportunities. Highly recommend going into the new Visitor Centre with indoor and outdoor exhibits. It’s also home to the tortoise habitat and their caretakers, the “Tort Wranglers”. WHAT YOU’LL SEE: • Red Rock Canyon & Tortoise Habitat • Grand Canyon West Rim & Skywalk • Hoover Dam • Las Vegas Strip • Fremont St (Old Vegas) • Las Vegas Sign • Lake Mead • Boulder City • Bonnie Springs • Spring Mountain Ranch State Park • Ethel M Chocolate Factory & Cactus Garden • Eagle Point • Guano Point Admission fees not included BATTERY USAGE: ++ Continued use of GPS/Location Services in the background increases battery usage. We strongly recommend taking a cigarette style (DC outlet) car charger. Avoid using a direct connection to the USB port of a rental vehicle. IPADS: ** iPad models must include a GPS chip. Please note that Apple only install these on the iPad Wifi + Cellular models. Wifi only iPad models have limited location service capabilities and are unable to trigger commentary automatically. DOWNLOADING: The apps are larger in size in order to work offline. You must be on wifi to download as the store may block the download over cellular networks. • Great Tour Guide!

We used this app for a trip from Las Vegas to the Hoover Dam and the West rim of the Grand Canyon. It was like having an entertaining local guide in the car with us. Lots of history and interesting stories along the way, and great hints about where to stop and warnings about speed traps!! We never had to worry about directions; they were very clearly stated. If we stopped for a while, the guide took right back up for us. AMAZING!!! Will definitely recommend Gypsy to our friends.
  • Absolutely Amazing!!

This app was truly the most amazing experience we had while exploring. It was the first time we’ve used it. We did the Hoover dam and Grand Canyon section of his Las Vegas offering. We were amazed and it made our trip 100% better!! By the end we were sad not to have our narrator still with us!
  • Amazing application.

We went to the Hoover dam, west rim of Grand Canyon, and Las Vegas. We learned so many things. I wish the app. Could navigate to the starting point which it might be and I just did not figure out.For $9.99 I could not be happier and my family and friends where amazed. Thank You. Thank You. Thank You. FYI leave at 7 am from your hotel to allow time for breakfast, fill ups and pit stops. Amazing time due to this app.
  • Awesome!

This was a great app! We rented a car and used the app. That allowed us to get all kinds of background information, directions, and more, plus we were able to do it at our own pace.
  • Very handy app

We used this app on 12/20/17. Yes it’s a little dated. There are no dirt roads as the narrator describes (that’s a good thing). The directions at the Hoover Dam are perfect. The info is good and we enjoyed the trivia of the area. The info about prices at the Grand Canyon and Skywalk are essential. Even if you don’t get this app, research the prices. You’ll be in for a big surprise if not. The app provides directions, but not as you would think. If you miss a turn it doesn’t tell you - you have to get back on course yourself. It’s not that bad though since there aren’t a whole lot of turns. I think it’s worth the $5. We had a lot of fun and this was the perfect day trip.
  • Amazing!!!

Very entertaining and full of interesting fact, this app definitely doesn't disappoint. This made the drive to the west rim fast and informative. Definitely worth the price and should be recommended if ever traveling to this area.

It was fun and informative. This is the way to do a tour at your leisure, complete with great information
  • Awesome App recommend to all travelers

This app saved us a lot of time and money. Our GPS was taking us to the South Rim but this told us about the west rim which saved us 2-3 hours each way. This was very informational and we learned a lot of things. This is probably the same information you would get on the tour buses. Awesome app. Thanks.
  • Save oodles of $$$...and...entertained!

    By Joeandmocks
Lives up to the other GypSy Guides I have tried...and surpasses on entertainment value. Lots of empty stretches of highway between Las Vegas and the West Rim. This app fills in those boring stretches with stories/anecdotes worth remembering. Highly, highly recommended.
  • great app
