  • Horrible App

Great courses but the app is horrible. The only reason to use the app instead of the website version is for offline downloading, but attempting to use that feature crashes the app.

Please fix it app! I purchase a lot course from Udemy, but the App so bad make me think twice before I invest more money into it. First problem - app keep signing you off almost everyday which is fine. But it really hard to sign back in. The password page won’t register the Go or Sign in button. I have to copy my auto sign in password then exit the app, then type my email then paste word then hit or Go key or sign in button. They need to fix this problem!!! Second problem - when you purchase new course from Udemy. You can’t find it in my course tab, you have to remember the course name. It had filter my last access course, but no new purchase course filter. You have to go Mobile browser access the website version Udemy filter the new purchase course, touch it open and watch one new course video first then it will show up on the Udemy app last access course. Third problem - course video got cut off, it not display the full video. I request long time ago and seems no one care to add this feature.
  • Udemy is a good service overall but the mobile app is terrible.

I like Udemy, their services have helped me out a lot in terms of my career. But, it only works when there is an internet connection. I downloaded the app in order to use the offline services. I have downloaded courses for offline viewing, but they will not play unless I’m online. Due to the nature of my work, I’m not always in areas with internet accessibility. When I have courses in my offline menu, but they do not play when I’m offline, then they are not offline accessible are they? Udemy has lied about their offline use and it is unacceptable! Fix the issue and I’ll delete this negative review.
  • Downloads still an issue

Trying to use the app while traveling and it is just really bad for this experience. Incredibly frustrating. The videos either don’t download, download very slowly, or lie and say they are downloaded and won’t play. On top of that, the streaming barely works. The internet that I have access to are not my usual speeds, but they are plenty to play YouTube and Netflix videos. So, not really sure what the problem with Udemy is.
  • Love Udemy courses, but....

The iOS app could use some work. I mostly take programming courses, so I end up watching on my iPad so I can use my computer to follow along. When it works, it’s ok, but there’s tons of issues. One big one is that if you stop and the screen goes to sleep, when you turn it back on, the video plays with no picture, and there’s no way to fix besides restarting the app. Also, sometimes in full screen mode, the orientation will flip 180 degrees and there’s nothing you can do. Nothing huge, but very irritating.
  • Buggy

When scrolling through courses in “Students are Viewing”, or any other category, there seems to be somewhat of an offset. When I select a course, it opens the details for the course listed below it. I also have videos freeze up when my phone locks and I unlock it. Other than that, not a bad app. Been using it for years.
  • Took my money and didn’t deliver the course

Don’t have time for trash developers who can’t code the most basic functionality into their application. How can you accept payment but can’t deliver a digital product on time. Maybe these idiots need to try taking some of the courses for sale on their site...
  • Great courses, but a buggy app

On desktop Udemy has good UX, but on phone when something is loading it blocks app, I can't even scroll or navigate to other tab. Fix it, it's bad UX.
  • Downloads are wonky

The download feature is unreliable. The first bug I noticed was that the app would download a second copy of a lesson, instead of playing the original download. They fixed that one. Now the latest bug is that when I try to play a downloaded lesson, the app complains that I’m not connected to the internet, then it deletes the download. I like Udemy, but the app really detracts from the value of the courses.
  • Downoaded material does not play when offline.

When using the iPad Pro 11 the dowloaded lectures will not play when offline/not connected to the internet. I've tried deleting the app and reinstalling it several times as well as deleting and re-downloading the lectures. What a shame your app doesn't work for what it was intended to. Please don't apologize. That does no good, rather use the money I spent to pay competent engineers to fix it. I'll raise my rating as soon as this is done.
