  • False advertising!

The ‘unlimited’ concept is a lie. Once they see that you listen a lot they take away the access to download titles to listen to. I had a lot of titles downloaded and suddenly they were ‘unavailable’. What a joke. Just be honest and tell people you are only allowed to listen to so many books a month. Saying that it’s unlimited is a complete lie and telling people to look at the description of why a title becomes unavailable is also a lie. Stop the BS!
  • App has some glitches

    By PrincessAnna_101571
I downloaded the app and did the free trial. I will not be starting a subscription. I listened to one book and it would randomly stop or it would skip back to a previous part I already listened to. In both situations I had to figure out where I last was. So irritating.

Costs half as much as audible but gives you unlimited downloads. The selection of books is way, way better than Kindle unlimited. The one area where audible is better is with its great courses series, but scribd has many, many excellent books and audiobooks, including important philosophical and literary works, not to mention just about every top seeking author I've searched for so far. Definitely get scribd before Kindle unlimited.
  • Used Audible, Love Scribd!!

    By SoniawhoTinkers
I have listened to audiobooks for ages, and thought Audible was the premium subscription service. Then I realized that I was getting next to nothing for my fees. One book a month? For $16+ a month? I found Scribd and went for a free trial. I could listen to ANY BOOKS I WANTED. Not one. Not any extra fees. For $9 a month, NINE, I can listen to as many books as I want. There are limits on what books they have available, which mimics my limits on my free library apps, so I think that is more of an industry challenge instead of a Scribd one. Try it out, and enjoy a great way to make commutes, road trips and working at your desk time fly by from all your enjoyment!!

  • Better Than Audible

I love the freedom of listening to any book I want without having to purchase. This is a great deal.

Like the previous reviews...this is not unlimited. As a matter of fact you don’t even get one or two books. All my books are delayed until my next billing cycle. I have emailed 3 times. Get a roboemail that says my issue will be addressed and I never hear from anyone again. I’m canceling and disputing the charges. A total scam! Even the response to the reviews is a robo response. DON’T give any money to this scam!
  • It’s a lie.....

How is it that i have paid my monthly membership fee and yet I have access to absolutely NO audiobooks??? This is ridiculous. I am paying for access to something you’re not allowing me to use! In December my access was restricted to one audiobook. ONE AUDIOBOOK for the entire month! You account stated that I will have access again starting January 1st 2019, but when January rolls around, NO! I don’t get access to anything until January 16th. Seriously, what the hell is going on!!
  • Scribd...How about a little integrity?

Developers; Please!!! Can you just be up front about what the limits and parameters are on the service...and quit changing the rules without updating your faithful subscribers. Back when the plan was one audiobook a month and 3 books you promised that those books would be permanently added to our library along with extra credits to “buy” additional audiobooks.... now those that I bought are no longer available even though they are still in your system.... Update 1/1/19 my five star rating has dropped to a one star because I feel like I’m being jerked around..... “unlimited” is a word with a definition that Scribd is redefining on a weekly basis.... Update 1/2/19 Sent an e-mail to customer service to voice my concerns and hopefully get some clarification on what’s going on and why all the books I bought with my credits and were supposed to “mine to keep” are no longer available........ still waiting for a response a week later. Update 1/7/19 Now it’s not just the audiobooks that are being severely restricted
