Named by's @Techland as one of the best weather apps for your iPhone and Apple Watch. Severe weather alerts for your exact location. Storm Shield gives you storm-based alerts for tornado, hurricane, flood, thunderstorm, winter storms and other life-threatening weather events via voice and push notification. Storm-based alerts help reduce false alarms by alerting you to severe weather based on your exact location within a county. County-based alerts can result in false alarms, warning you when your location in the county is not within the threatened area. What people are saying: • Storm Shield "alerted our family of the Broken Arrow, OK tornado, faster than the TV and tornado sirens." - Robyn • "I was in Oklahoma City during the tornado... we were right in its path. Your app literally was a life saver." - dcalk12 Benefits: • Get voice alerts just like a NOAA weather radio via push notification anywhere in the United States. • With Apple Watch, get a tap on your wrist when alerts are issued for your locations. • Add Storm Shield's widget to your Today screen to get quick access to active alerts for the first location in your app. • Touch Storm Shield's app icon on your 3D-Touch enabled iPhone for quick widget access. • Hi-Def radar map is your home screen so you can quickly see what's going on at your locations. • Long-tap on the map to get current conditions, hourly and daily forecasts. • Save additional locations to ensure family members stay safe. • Closings for Baltimore, Buffalo, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Denver, Detroit, Green Bay, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Lansing, Milwaukee, Nashville, Omaha, Tulsa. • A Crappy and garbage app

    By Rev Jude
I am a weather observer and when I first purchased this app I thought was pretty good. I contacted them and they got back to me in reference to my questions about the radar and also hurricane tracking? Now my son they are the speakers on and they want to charge you for them. I said something to them and they didn’t like it because I feel this way when we purchased these apps we can automatically get what is the add to it. All the other apps that I have do the same thing they give it to you accept with them. This app is very in accurate and also very horrible. It doesn’t tell forecast for nothing. I depend on it from my job and also packed a storm chase in this app is horrible. I do not recommend this app anyone. Do not practice is it a waste your time it’s garbage and very crappy. I wish I never purchased this app from them because it’s horrible. They only care about making money not a good app. I recommend AccuWeather even the weather bug is very good. Also any of the NOAA radar My radar apps are very good as well compared to this crappy app. I will add one more thing I do storm chasing and that was why I decide to get this app. I am a lesson learned from this garbage. Now are use other apps that a much superior to this crap.
  • Love the app but!!!

The app is great and has so many alerts and seems to be very accurate! The only issue I’m having is that, it’s causing a drain on my battery!!!
  • I’m literally trying to check on a flood warning

    By tidrion
I’m literally trying to check on a flood warning and you’re bugging me about giving you a review!? Might want to see if you can work on that logic but thank you for your app. It’s literally a life saver. Yes
  • Radar does not load reliably.

I can be in the middle of a severe thunderstorm and the radar shows all clear. I have reinstalled the app many times and try restarting the app and it only works part of the time.
  • Works good

Several river flood alerts in my area and app sent out warnings every time. Same with severe storm warnings, very happy with storm shield.

You should put in your weather app live radio if there’s any bad storms 24 seven and you should get rid of scription’s you have to pay and you should make them for free so you don’t have to pay for them forever some people are kids and they don’t like have to pay for them you should make them free it would be better to do that on your Weather! app add live weather station and Man in the weather radio talk to them they have 24 seven weather radio see if you can add MlDLAND weather radio weather app please get rid of scription‘s on your Weather! app and make them free your app would be so much better if it was all for free and actually work forever add on your Apple we can report on the app if it’s cloudy or stormy in that day so everyone gets the alert and you get more stars if you change that and make your app for free because I had to pay for The app and I’m kind of mad at him have scription please get rid of it make it for free everything on the app for fre please and set up account so you have your information saved if you delete the app

  • Best App ever

Look we live in the Brighton Mi. Area and have a 14 year old son who is involved in 3 different sports all outside and let me tell you I’ve tried all the other apps and they don’t hold a candle to Storm Shield. He also snow boards here in Brighton so I really rely on this app foe sanity lol, thank you also for the Storm Shield Alerts for severe Storms I really rely on it I also have two dogs and yes we do hit the basement for severe weather and this app has saved our lives when I was pregnant with my son. I truly feel that all the other weather apps have tried and failed to imitate your wonderful work, please keep up the good work keeping us safe. Thank you so much and from this mom to others it is well worth the money to protect your family when you have the air on in the middle of the night and can’t hear the tornado sirens, this app will save your families lives.
  • Pretty good with some glitches

    By boneandmandy
I have had this app for a bit over a year. I have had to uninstall and reinstall a few times because it tends to stop notifying me of weather warnings and watches. I have another weather app as well just to make sure I don’t miss anything. One of my biggest complaints is the “Special Weather Statements”. I get notified that there is a Special Weather Statement, but when I go to the app, there is nothing there. I then have to go to the NWS to see what I have missed.
  • Helpful!

    By LewisLady
Extremely helpful app. Easy to customize. Only sounds an alert if your location is actually within the cone of a warning, so you don’t get needless alerts about stuff happening on the other end of your county.
