Dark Sky can tell you at a glance exactly when it will rain (or snow) up to an hour in advance, so you’re free to walk the dog or run out to lunch and know you’ll stay dry. You can also explore the most beautiful weather animation you’ve ever seen, both forward in time or back. (Dark Sky is available in the US, UK and Ireland.) YOUR WEATHER, DOWN TO THE MINUTE Using GPS, Dark Sky is able to create forecasts for your precise location, giving you minute-by-minute predictions for the next hour and hour-by-hour forecasts for the next day and week. BEAUTIFUL WEATHER ANIMATIONS The same technology that powers Dark Sky’s predictions also allows us to make the world’s first perfectly smooth radar animation. Other apps show you a chunky slideshow that makes it nearly impossible to tell how storms are moving. But Dark Sky’s radar animation lets you see the actual path of the storm: how it moved in the past, and where it’s going in the future. PUSH NOTIFICATIONS Dark Sky comes with advanced notification options: Receive down-to-the-minute alerts before it starts raining at your exact location, get notified of government severe weather alerts (for such things as thunderstorms, flooding, hurricanes, etc), or even create your own custom notifications covering the next 24 hours for things like temperature, wind, precipitation and more. Even if you haven't opened the app in days, Dark Sky will tell you what you need to know, when you need to know it. TODAY WIDGET The Dark Sky Notification Center Widget tells you at a glance what's going to happen in the next hour and the next week, so you don't even have to unlock your phone to quickly check the weather before heading out. APPLE WATCH Dark Sky looks great on your wrist. Get notifications and check out the weather for the next week with the Dark Sky app built from scratch for Apple Watch.

  • Great app, need watch support

    By Mird1794
This is an amazing app and I’m blown away by its accuracy. However, the watch app has some work. Initially it was working fine but now it’s consistently just a pair of dotted lines on the main UI. It works for a hot second after either restarting the watch or reinstalling the app, but after one quick glance it’s back to breaking. I was excited to have it on my watch but it’s still great once I actually click into it or view on my phone! Edit: now the app displays arbitrary weather. It was 90° but the app was just sitting at 72° - pretty big difference IMO.. I feel like I wasted my money now
  • Love it!

Love the appearance of each screen- easy to read!. Forecast let’s me know how many minutes it will be before rain starts and when it will stop. Love the world radar map too.
  • Always wrong on weather

By Pat is not here okay okay
App layout and idea is great but matters little when the data they use to generate forecast is more wrong than a room full of politicians Do not use if you relay on accurate weather
  • Great app

Very smooth no issues yet wish it was a little bit more customizable though.
  • Great weather app

Great weather app... More accurate and less clutter or bloat than the Weather Channel and Accuweather apps...
  • Radar colors are terrible

    By ZTX
Overall, good. I really dislike the colors of the precipitation on the radar.
  • Excellent design and function

    By cryancarpenter
Smooth clean well thought design. With several bells and whistles. I appreciate the precipitation alerts and the globe map is seamless.
  • Play hooky on perfect days

    By Skeuomorph
Everything you need at a glance, even the hour by hour UV Index for today and the coming week, along with cloud cover and breeze. A must have for planning perfect summer hooky days.
  • Temp is right most of the time

    By henkew19
I give it 3 stars because they get the temp right, but that is not really that hard for Central Texas in the summer - just plug in 100 and you’ll be right 96% of the time and really close they rest of the time. However I have no idea where they get their rain info from. Example: today 17 JUN 2018 at 4 pm says 100% chance of rain along with an alert 5 mins ago the says rain starting in five mins. The sky is clear so WHAT IS THE RAIN COMING FROM? Must going to be an airplane with water tanks flying over soon. They absolutely never get the rain right unless there is a hurricane on the Texas coast, and even I can predict that.
  • Great app!!

Great app! Gives me all the info I want and no talking heads and dumbed down videos. We live in SE Arizona and temp, wind speed, & humidity (or lack of it) are important to us. Thanks for a great app!
