  • Don’t use in-app browser to view articles.

Why do half of the articles open up in the app, but the others open in an in-app web browser that’s crowded with advertisements and solicitations from the Baltimore Sun?? I already pay for the app, you don’t need to reroute customers from the app to your website just so you can push ads! I’ll be unsubscribing
  • Doesn’t show stories from today’s front page

This app constantly freezes with frequent pop-ups asking me to subscribe (even though I already do). Also, the app never shows the latest articles from the front page of the actual paper.

The app NEVER recognizes I’m a subscriber when I click on face book Sun posts. I end up not finding those stories when I manually move over to the Sun app. Kinda defeats the purpose of subscribing
  • The Sun is still a great paper

Today, newspapers face enormous challenges, but in spite of those challenges, these folks turn out a quality product every day. Their reporting is fact based and the opinions and editorials well thought out.
  • Great redesign, still want integrated weather

High quality local and national journalism. The recent design update is much cleaner, attractive and user friendly. Only dropping one star because the app still does not have an integrated weather forecast/radar. When you want to see weather you have to view the desktop site or use a mobile browser. App includes weather related news but not forecasts. Otherwise, this is an excellent news app and my primary source of news. Subscription for unlimited digital access is very reasonable and in the current climate of disinformation, supporting real journalism is tantamount to supporting democratic institutions.
  • Subscription via Apple App Store doesn’t work

About once every month or so the app starts to fail to recognize that I’m paying a monthly fee via the App Store for a subscription on my phone and iPad. It is hard to get to reconfigured to work again each time. App is extremely annoying in that way.
  • Stays broke

App crashes multiple times per day. Pushes stories and when you try to read the story it’s pushing it locks up and crashes.
  • Wish there was a ZERO stars

App freezes whenever I click on breaking news. Not my device—iPhone X with 246 GB storage and less than 15% used. In a word... pathetic. Not worthy of the venerable Sun paper.
  • Bad app

The app is terrible. Difficult to use and access articles. The videos only sometimes load and pictures at the top of articles are not visible. Please fix this especially because we pay to access these articles.
