If you own a device, this is the first app that should go on it!!! Immediately set it to get Word of the Day notifications. You can “heart” words that you want to save, and they will appear on each device that contains the app! There are games on it as well to help expanse your vocabulary. Just get it, as it’s so worth it!

This app has a thoughtful design and is beautifully written for ease of use while brimming with helpful information. A user can skim the surface for the basic meaning of a word, or, they can delve deeply into the broader understanding of word’s origen, contemporary usage, evolving nature and its synonyms/antonyms without having to leave a page. Further search within the app for its various features and functions is so easy to do, again, thanks to the clean, uncluttered design.

This is the most disappointing app on my phone. Of the last 10 lookups I made, only two words were listed. I had to go to other sources. The number of entries in this app are so limited it is useless to me.

Love this app. Love the 'word of the day', the m-f quizzes..oh yes, and the dictionary, and thesaurus too ; ) As a word nerd who loves to learn about the derivations of words and/or expressions, it has it all.

Sorry for being short on words but this app has plenty more if I need more!

This is the most convenient way to access the most standard dictionary of US English. Essential for writers, editors, and readers.
  • Almost perfect, one MAJOR oversight on Apple Watch

Love the app, and your defense of the English language in these turbulent times. That being said, we NEED the ability to “scribble” a word to be looked up, instead of relying on voice dictation. Why is it a need and not a want? Why is it absolutely, fundamentally essential to the functionality of a dictionary app? One word: HOMONYMS
