    This is a very good news paper app. I have seen lots of bad newspaper apps and this one is one of the good ones. Even if it has a few glitches in it and the apps glitches are very small, and they don’t effect me much. I am very shocked that a small newspaper could make an app this good. I just want them to add more features to the app and fix some of the small problems with it. The. The app would be almost perfect.
  • So frustrated

    Multiple issues reported to “App Support” and Customer Service with NO resolution. Contacted them at least a dozen times. Promise they are working on it. Very erratic incidents of photos not loading, comments sections not loading and/or freezing. This has gone on for months!

    I opened the app this morning, as I do every morning. It crashes. Twice. I reboot. The app freezes. Then crashes. Why? The re no OS update, no app updates. I have a paid subscription. Make my app work!
  • Restore Old App Obituary Style

    Every time the app is updated I keep hoping that the obituaries will be restored to the way the old app showed them - photos and the first few lines of the obituary. It never happens!
  • App slow to load

    I like the look of the new app, but often when I try to read it it says I’m offline when I’m not. It loads very slowly. It is so slow that I give up. And I wish that it had a section like the NYT that shows me the popular articles of the day. Please fix!
  • Video ads

    I use the app at the same time I stream radio news every morning and I HATE when the stupid video ads on Trib app override my radio app. It’s incredibly annoying to have the radio go silent when I swipe to a newspaper story. In my opinion there's no reason to use video ads and I wish they’d just GO AWAY.

  • Essential functions missing

    The app is disappointing, especially for a newspaper. Text is not selectable so you’re unable to touch, select, and look up a word, nor can you even select text to copy a word into a dictionary. Photos are not expandable so you can’t zoom in. When you turn your phone sideways to look at a landscape shape photo, the top and bottom of the picture are cut off, as is a portion of the caption. Makes reading the news on this app quite frustrating.

    Animated video ads that auto play the audio... poor form, StarTribune. I’m disappointed. App still crashes randomly on iPhone X. Also with every version release, you’re saying “the app was built from the ground up” but clearly that’s not the case any more. Thanks!
