  • Very Nice!

    By Scoffter
I love using Twitch to watch livestreams of my favorite streamers. The only problem that i see is that on the twitch mobile app if you delete it and then download again later, your notifications don't come up again for the channels you were following from before deletion... but overall pretty nice!
  • Too many ads and twitch prime can not help now!

    By Mykolrulez
I loved twitch especially when I had amazon prime to be able to enjoy it ad free. Now I’m seeing a ton of ADS that FREEZE the stream numerous times!!!!! Good bye twitch!! Hello mixer :)
  • Too many bots

    By Pressticle
There are soooo many bots on here gathering your information it’s ridiculous. And twitch won’t do anything about it. You can’t remove them cause there is no kick command. Delete this app while you can. Gonna try YouTube gaming, where you can actually block users.

  • CrunchyRoll Functions Better Than You

    By AquariusBat
Apparently it’s hard to design a streaming app, because none of you can’t seem to grasp the definition of “functional”. I suggest: - The ability to sub to streamers ON MOBILE! I’m able to donate to charity (if said streamer is doing a charity stream) quite easily just by pressing a button. It’s not that hard... - Less or NO ADs on VODs. Why do VODs even need ads‽ It makes no sense. Well, thanks to YOU guys, I just switch on my adblock/VPN so I can EASILY watch VOD until the streamer uploads it to YouTube. - Give us an option to disable ALL hosting? If I want to see a certain channel I SHOULD just be able to click on their profile pic and get their profile. Not unless they’re hosting...I have to guide myself through three different hoops to get to their channel. How is this hard to comprehend...? - STOP. BUFFERING. Oh dear Lord. I cannot tell you how infuriating it is when you’re TRYING to enjoy a stream it just FREEZES. AND THE ONLY THING THAT HELPS IS OPENING AND CLOSING THE APP. AND IT DOES IT AGAIN FIVE MINUTES LATER. IT’S BEEN DOING THIS FOR MONTHS! YouTube, CrunchyRoll, Rooster Teeth (ha), Hulu, etc DONT have this infuriating BUG. And it’s NOT my internet. FIX. YOUR. APP.
  • Used to be great, now streams don’t even play

Streams literally don’t play now. I’ve tried force quitting, restarting my phone, everything.
  • Remove language tags for streams that match the client language.

    By Couchpotato2013
    1. The new update looks ok. Speedier than the 6.9.1 version, I’ve been using this past week. However after the tag inclusion in this update, the height for each stream in my followed stream list has substantially been increased. What I mean by this is that every stream that I follow has the “English” tag affixed to it. Which to me is a needless addition, not to mention even inconsistent with the currently running streams of TwitchPresents and TwitchPresents2, both of those streams have Pokémon and Yu-gi-oh playing respectively that are in English. So why isn’t the English tag put on them? What I am getting at, is yes, tags can be helpful if you are browsing throughout the site but they only serve to bloat the viewing experience for those of us that have an established list of streamers. Which is why I am recommending that Twitch you should remove all tags for streams that are in the same language as what the app says it’s using. If perhaps I wanted to watch a Japanese stream (and not know what they are saying), then the tag on the stream would have Japanese (if my client says that I am using English). The same situation can be applied to other languages. Also if you are going to include tags, can please all around the board reduce the height at which they take? It’s rather disingenuous that they have bloated viewing space on my device (iPhone X), that I can’t help but feel that people will reflexively end up picking higher view count streams on the top of the app, now that they take up more real estate. 2. Also, can be fix the dang stream delay in comparison to desktop clients, or even if I were to load Twitch through safari? The delay is almost 20 seconds at times and it serves to be rather jarring when the chat responds to something funny that the streamer does and I’m stuck getting snail mail. 3. Additionally, I know that we can’t subscribe through the app because you want to avoid paying Apple part of the sub. But can you at least put in the “X month” anniversary sub message in the app? I know that you at least have part of the foundation for that because you have the hello emote box that pops up in the chat whenever you first visit a channel. I can see that easily being replaced with an equivalent overlay that allows us subscribers to communicate with the streamer. 4. Why is it since the 6.9 update or around then that I have to type in the text field again after clicking an emote? The way it was functioning was working fine beforehand. Why break something that wasn’t broken? 5. Finally, can you also do something about the “rewinding/reloading of the buffer” or whatever it is when I want to switch out of the app (but still keep it running) and select some other app on my phone. The stream audio gets pushed back by 2-5 seconds and when going back to the app there even exists a chance for the stream to rewind a bit again by the same amount. Half the time it requires me to swipe the stream off the app or close down the twitch app out the app launcher, only to try and reload the stream to get it to play and not “rewind”. And no this isn’t when I’m trying to play it at 720p or greater this occurs even when I am just listening to the audio. I distinctly remember points 2, 4 and 5 not ever being problems that I had to deal with when I was using the app in fall 2016 till about sometime of fall of last year (if at the latest February 2018). Please fix the viewing/listening experience, I really like this app and what it can deliver while I’m at work.
