  • GET ACCUWEATHER INSTEAD! Update killed app

You say nothing changed for those of us that bought it in the beginning before your blood thirstyness kicked in and now want monthly money. Here is the biggest thing that did change.......checking future radar! That’s why I bought it in the first place. Yes it was included back then. Now it is gone. Rendering this app useless for the very reason I bought it in the first place. And yet you are getting away with it by saying nothing has changed. WRONG! Sep 6 2017 DELETED DELETEDDELETED DELETED DELETED DELETEDDELETED DELETEDDELETED DELETEDDELETED DELETEDDELETED DELETEDDELETED DELETEDDELETED DELETEDDELETED DELETEDDELETED DELETEDDELETED DELETED I used to love this app. I paid for it. Now after last update it wants you to pay monthly for services I was getting for free after the initial payment for app. I think Apple should step in and do something about this. To me this is theft and more. Hi def radar makers can KMA! Contacted Apple and they said that the developer isn't doing anything wrong. May refund my money. I think I may just switch to Android if this is the case. Not the first app I bought that changed terms. Atleast the google play store doesn't limit you on tasteless apps.
  • App used to be good

App is pretty much useless to me anymore. When they changed so you wound have to pay monthly fee to see future path of radar. You also used to get a forecast which was very useful. Very sluggish now. Dissapointed.
  • Terrible

This app is still abysmal. Every time I open it to glance at the next storm to hit us here in man made climate hell, it simply shows a blank map. What magic incantation do I need to mutter to make it actually show the radar results? Can anyone tell me what weather radar app really shows results without having to conjure up some magic potion or put on a tin foil hat?
  • High Def Radar

An extremely useful and informative weather radar app. Have used this for years to track storms and estimate when they will arrive in our area.

    It’s great
  • Missing key radar features

    By DarthDaleDidIt
This used to be one of my favorite and go to apps for weather and radar. After having purchased the app in order to get additional functionality for a purchased app there is a subscription model for the future radar which I think is very disappointing. Especially since I paid for the app to start with. Even though I paid for the app, I will be deleting it and using alternate weather information apps.
  • Only works over WiFi

The developer’s canned response to complaints about how this app has become worse over time - that their data supplier changed - does not explain why certain very useful features were taken away from people who had purchased the app. 1. You used to be able to get information about a storm cell’s position relative to your location. From this you could make a reasonable estimate of whether it would hit you, and when. Now the app only tells you the speed & direction of the cell, independent of your location, so you have to visually guess how far it is from you, and whether you’re in it’s path. Unless of course you buy the subscription. This has nothing to do with data suppliers: the app obviously still knows the location of the cell, and it still knows your location. The bearing to the cell and its distance from you is a simple calculation. By the way, this is not information about “the future”. Spouting nonsense about changes in data suppliers simply doesn’t explain this change in the information displayed. This developer sold an app to a bunch of people, then removed functionality unless you started to pay a subscription. You can consider that a justifiable business decision, or an unethical one, but that’s what happened. 2. The app used to be quite reliable for monitoring storm info from a boat, using cell service. Now it either takes so long for imagery to come up that the phone goes to sleep first, or it never comes up at all. (Yes, I’ve set the imagery loops to the minimum). FYI, it’s never a good idea to stare at your phone for a couple of minutes while piloting a boat, so this performance change makes a big difference. I can only conclude that they made the display so “beautiful” that now it’s useless unless you have a WiFi connection. Nothing unethical about this - just a bad design decision. If you might want to use this weather app when outdoors (i.e. exposed to weather), I’d look for different app. This one is now useless or anyone engaged in outdoor activities. If you’re safely inside with a WiFi connection and want to watch storms for fun, it works fine for that.
  • Unable to view warning info!

    By 1CrazyOldLady
I have been using this app for several years and had two different versions with subscriptions. I liked being able to read the warnings for severe weather, but now they only pop up and they will NOT allow a view of the full alert! I can see as far as “there is a tornado warning in the following areas: “ then nothing. It won’t swipe, open or anything! Loved this app for years but now it is no longer good!
  • Useless app.

Useless weather app. Don’t get it.
