Description

"Decibel X" is one of very few noise meter apps on the market that has highly reliable, pre-calibrated measurements and supports dBA, dBC. It turns your iOS device into a professional sound level meter, precisely measures the sound pressure level (SPL) all around you. This extremely useful and beautiful tool will not only be a great tool for many uses but also bring you a lot of fun. Have you wondered how quiet is your room or how loud is a rock concert or sport event? "Decibel X" will help you answer all of those. WHAT MAKE IT GREAT AND STAND OUT FROM OTHER APPS: - Trusted accuracy: the app is tested and pre calibrated for all Apple devices. The precision is matching with real SPL devices - Apple Watch support: see noise level right from your wrist - Frequency weighting filters: ITU-R 468, A, B, C, Z - Powerful, smart history data management: + Recording data can be saved into a list of history records for future access and analysis + Each record can be exported as hi-res PNG graph or CSV text via sharing services + iCloud support which synchronize all history records across your Apple devices + Fullscreen mode to give overview the whole history of an record - Dosimeter with NIOSH, OSHA standards - FFT and BAR graphs to display real time FFT. Those are very useful for frequency analysis and musical tests. Real time predominant frequency is also displayed. - WAVE graph with 2 display modes: Rolling & Buffer - InstaDecibel to capture your dB report overlaid on photos and easily shared via popular social networks (Facebook, Instagram, Messages, etc.). - Support both Portrait and Landscape layouts - Beautiful, intuitive and carefully crafted UI design - Optimized for iOS 11 OTHER GREAT FEATURES: - Standard time weightings (Response Time): SLOW (500 milliseconds) and FAST (200 milliseconds) - Trimming calibration from -15 dB to 15 dB - Standard measurement range from 30 dBA up to 130 dBA - HISTO graph for plotted history of the recorded values - Real time scale level chart - Display Current, Average/Leq, and Max values with both nice and clear digital and analog layouts - Quick reference text to help you compare with real-life examples - "Keep Device Stay Awake" option for long duration recording - Reset and clear current recording at any time - Tap on Max value to reset at any time - Pause/Resume the tool at any time NOTES: - Please do not expect a quiet room reading will be 0 dBA. The range 30-130 dBA is the standard usable range and an average quiet room will be about 30 dBA. - Although all devices are pre-calibrated, custom calibration is suggested for serious purposes requiring higher precision and accuracy. You will need a real external device or calibrated sound meter as a reference, then adjust the trimming calibration until the reading matches with the reference. • Difficult to Unsubscribe!

It's a nice app, but only three free days. Not sure if they could provide a free version with advertisements. Not clear on how to unsubscribe. It's made clrar and easy to subscribe, but they make it difficult to unsubscribe. That my friends is the hook! Looking in the settings menu, there doesn't appear to be a clear unsubscribe button.
  • Nice app glad it’s fixed.

Press “Restore Purchases” every time I want to use an app that I paid for, or agree to a subscription??? Just annoying. But it looks to be fixed now. So that’s good. Accuracy seems reasonable, and I actually like the unweighted option. Also helpful to confirm that my kid is super loud and my stereo isn’t, which validates my position in a long standing family debate.

As I have stated previously this SLM app is the best in breed! This is THE go to SLM app. Skypaw is not satisfied resting on their laurels and continue to rollout enhancements. Want to thank you personally for correcting purchase restore issue. Now I see my Modern Theme without ads like I am accustomed. Grateful. Onward and upward!

This is almost impossible to cancel. Don’t get the app.
  • Free trial?

How do I cancel my free trial? There are no buttons anywhere on the settings app about it. Very deceptive. And the “email support” button does nothing.
  • Whoa.

Too much garbage pops up when just trying to use the app. It would be much better if all the garbage extras were not continually pushed into the user’s face when trying to access just the decibel meter.
  • This is only a 3-day trial

If it’s so great, tell me the price up front, not after I’ve already given your app access to my data and device. Sleazy.
  • Horrible. Not easy to cancel it

Trying to delete / cancel and literally can’t do it. Not in the settings. Not in iTunes. This should be illegal.
  • Useful and frequent updates

I have used the paid app for several years in restaurants and music venues to help control my exposure to harmful sound. The app is easy to use and informative. The app is frequently updated with features and themes. Version 7 cleaned up and enlarged everything with large fonts. I haven’t used the camera feature.
  • Beware of Sales CON

I bought the pro version of Decibel X. When I last started the app, I was FORCED to press a "try it for free button." On the next screen, in VERY small font and easy to miss, I found a button to "restore purchase". There should be a "restore purchase" button on the same screen as the "try it for free" screen. For that matter, there should not be a "restore purchase" button at all. This is clearly NOT user-friendly, and it seems that the company is attempting to CON subscribers for more money. Regardless of product quality, I will never purchase any of their products again.
