  • Still not working well with Apple Watch series 3

Strava app on the phone is entirely disconnected from the Apple watch app. So this means you can’t enjoy all of the features of Strava at the same time. If you start an activity from your phone then you can see progress on a map, get audio queues, etc. but you lose out on heart rate data. If you start an activity on your watch you lose out on everything else. Every other exercise app syncs the phone and watch apps so that you can start an activity on your phone and glance at your watch for pacing details, but not Strava. The worst part? It used to work just fine and they removed this functionality. TLDR; If you’ve got an Apple Watch and like to track your runs and rides with heart rate data look elsewhere.

5th UPDATE I’VE DONE AND STILL NO FIX. STILL CANNOT CONNECT TO APPLE WATCH TO READ DATA. Won’t connect to Apple Watch. Takes you to setting to allow motion and fitness tracking but it’s not there. Needs update for new iOS. Updated to version 73.0.0 and still doesn’t fix the Apple Watch issue.
  • Please fix

I love the app generally but it constantly ends my rides for me mid way through. Its like the app opens and finishes the ride with hair trigger sensitivity. My phone is obviously bouncing around and it’s often wet so it should have something to prevent this. It’s REALLY annoying. I’m sure there’s an easy fix you guys could implement. Please do this because it’s so irritating.

Can you please share the distance down to the hundredth within the mobile app? It’s provided on the desktop site, but it’s not within the mobile app. It’s also not shared with the Health app on iOS, but a long time ago it was. Miss it.

Final Review 💯 || best app, hands down, even with all the nuances. Little known fact by some: Strava developed the first app to allow Apple Watch users to run independently of their cellular devices. Therefore, take your time Strava devs, employ as many updates as needed to get it right...or maybe nahhh!!! *Also, Strava devs are at the mercy of the watch’s GPS, iOS updates, etcetera. Some issues could be Watch (watchOS) related rather than app. I browsed a lot of the comments from various other running apps. Some issues are thematic. 💪 What is Great: - Overall analysis - Training - Drive / motivation - Workout analysis - Community - Virtual races 🤨 What Can Be Improved: - Elevation is off and inconsistent. I cannot plan a run based on the elevation data for the same course from week to week. I low-key feel Strava is not entirely AW 4 compliant, hence analyzing databases for elevation and not the built in biometric altimeter as it did with the AW 3. - Mileage and times can be significantly off. I find that deleting and reading the app after every update helps. Also, saw this on a Mapmyrun thread concerning GPS: open the app and wait a few seconds before starting your workout once you are out of range from the iPhone if you are using the watch. - More 1st world bells and whistles, e.g., music, running selections such as running by time, elevation or pace specifically; more access to data while running. - Less bugs.
  • Cellular upload needed

I love the app, but it’s been more than a year since cellular version came out and the app can’t upload from the watch—that’s a case for zero star.
  • Terrible integration with Apple Health

I’m ready to give up on this app and use the traditional logging of my workout using the activity app on my Apple Watch. There’s no heart rate info. There are 3 entries for each workout I do. Urghh Peloton needs to find a better solution to working with Apple.
  • Mobile app is limited

I love Strava in general. I wish at least some of the desktop only features were available on the mobile app.
