  • Buggy, hard to navigate

    This limits the number of stories you get. Navigation is terrible. Pictures are displayed too large. Often, you see the same articles and pictures for days on end instead of fresh news
  • Great way to keep in touch as a former resident

    As a former Central Florida resident with friends and family still in the area, it’s a great way to keep in touch as to the comings and going‘s and notes of interest in the area. More than once I’ve been told I know more about what’s going on in the area than those that live down there do. The only thing that I miss is the way it used to be organized because to me it is now a little bit harder to find sections of interest that I used to enjoy reading. Other than that I enjoy the app.
  • Reached my limit with OS

    Very frustrating. I have a digital subscription, which charges me without fail, but it never stays logged in. I receive alerts that I can’t actually read in the app. They open in Safari. I’m repeatedly blocked, saying that I’ve reached my monthly limit of free articles, prompting me to sign in. I sign in, but I still can’t view the articles. I can use the app fine, if I’m just browsing, but opening a targeted article never works. I have to search for it, defeating the point of the alerts.

    New app is awful. There is no content. Lots of pictures but no information. The paper has been deteriorating for years. Please somebody buy it and rebuild.

    The app constantly goes to a white screen when you click an article. This has been an issue for months now. And then they expect you to pay for the subscription

    It’s hard to express just how rude and horrible Orlando Sentinel customer support is. Install the app, have an account issue, and try to call them, and you will experience it for yourself. I signed up for a digital subscription, received my confirmation subscription email, and then tried to login. Couldn’t. Couldn’t create account because they thought it already existed. Couldn’t reset the password because they didn’t think the account existed under the same address their system said already existed. After several calls of people who wanted to talk over me without actually listening so they could close the ticket and not actually address the issue, I ended up canceling my subscription. Never again. One of the worst authentication setups and customer support organizations I have ever had to deal with.

    This is the worst news app. It only allows you to see a couple of articles and then tries to force you to pay for more. I just go to the local TV apps and get the get there. This newspaper used to be a great paper but not anymore. I was a subscriber for over 40 years and dropped it last year.

    I should have known better. All I wanted was yesterday's Scott Maxwell column. You would think that would be a snap... Scott you ought to write a column on the digital side of the Sentnel. No perhaps you shouldn't on second thought!
