  • Fix this now

New look app doesn’t let me log in. Only get a message that server can’t connect. Hugely disappointing
  • Amazingly terrible

    By stevep1000
The new website is a strong design, but app is so dumbed down it’s in insult to say this closely aligns with the website experience. Stay far, far away.
  • Terrible

It is perhaps the worst app I use. Often it freezes or crashes so much I don’t bother. It must be fixed since I pay for online access
  • Much better

    By xMorlithx
The new app is a significant improvement from the old one. It actually behaves well, thanks for updating it
  • Much Needed Upgrade (June 2019)

    By Johnb896
The new update delivers some overdue improvements to the app. It finally feels usable, even though the aesthetics could use some tweaks (font size and image placement, for example, look much better in the NYT app). Overall very pleased with the upgrade in performance and usability!
  • Version 5.0 is the Worst Ever

    By Windy City Observer
The current Tribune app is unbelievably bad - layout and design are amateurish; key sections of the paper are missing; saved articles from previous version were not transferred; too much emphasis on photos rather than text & content; fonts are large and cannot be adjusted, although there is an option to do so. The company took a previously problematic but functional app and created a piece of garbage not worthy of the Chicago Tribune. Why couldn’t they simply have looked at the New York Times app for inspiration?
  • Tribune’s app and support is horrendous

    By Trib$ucks
At multiple times over the past several years, I’ve tried unsuccessfully to deal with the failure of Tribune to deliver what’s been paid for. They claim seamless digital access on the app and desktop yet regularly refuse access to articles. Their offshore support provides no solutions. This is abysmal.
  • Withdraw and rewrite

    By jovialkeach
This app is so bad that it would be better for the reputation of the Tribute to withdraw it for a rewrite. Story links just don’t work and clearly there is no quality control. Perhaps a stopgap could be to simply submit a webview with a fixed homepage since the website is decently responsive ... this could buy time to write an app that functions.
  • App is useless

    By Djwy54
App crashes and freezes when trying to open stories.
  • Kia ad

    By fiendstien
Tribune gets no stars. There is a ad for Kia that pops up blocking all content and no way to delete it. I’m tired of paying for newspaper that insults me by putting this crap on their content.
