  • The only screen available to voiceover users is the welcome screen

    By jaxi2
Traditional paper editions of newspapers are, obviously, not accessible to potential blind subscribers. The opportunity to access news via digital formats on my iPhone & voice over would resolve this issue. Unfortunately, this app is entirely inaccessible as well. .I can’t even sign-up as the app lacks navigation past the welcome screen. i would love the opportunity to read the paper at my convenience just as sighted subscribers can. I will happily acquire a subscription and update this rating should the LA Times choose to update their app to an accessible state! here’s hoping!!
  • Much too difficult to read on desktop

Although I have tried to read the app support information. I still have never been able to read paper on desktop computer? I have several other newspaper subscriptions that I buy through Apple but the LATimes is the only one that makes this so difficult!
  • Links too sensitive

    By meh on this app
The links are too sensitive. When I try to scroll and accidentally touch a link it automatically zooms me to that link. Even though I just wanted to scroll up and down.
  • WiFi only?

    By deejay5555
Why does this app only work when you’re on a wifi network? This makes it useless most of the time, since I can’t load any news on the go
  • How to report issues?

So, I’m trying to report an issue with the app on my iPad but app support takes me to an FAQ on the LA Times website and no way to report the issue. My issue is that the app DOES NOT recognize that my iPad is on WiFi only so trying to get to the Archive or Download the paper from within the App gives me an error that I’m not connected to the Internet...which clearly isn’t true since I’m actively reading the eNewspaper. I can still use this iPad to take these steps in Safari, just not in the App. Please note that I don’t have this issue with the sister Chicago Tribune app.
  • I want to support newspaper, but..

    By Tap save
I want to support newspaper but I canceled my subscription because of the technical snags and glitches that constantly occurred with the online paper. So until they improve, I’m sticking to the NYT.
