Description

Uber is a ridesharing app for fast, reliable rides in minutes—day or night. There’s no need to park or wait for a taxi or bus. With Uber, you just tap to request a ride, and it’s easy to pay with credit or cash in select cities. Whether you’re going to the airport or across town, there’s an Uber for every occasion. Uber is available in more than 500 cities worldwide—download the app and take your first trip today. Requesting your Uber is easy—here’s how it works: - Just open the app and tell us where you’re going. - The app uses your location so your driver knows where to pick you up. - You’ll see your driver’s picture, vehicle details, and can track their arrival on the map. - Payment can be made by credit card, cash in select cities, Apple Pay, PayPal, and more. - After the ride, you can rate your driver and provide feedback to help us improve the Uber experience. You’ll also get a receipt by email. Need a simple way to get from A to B quickly? Take uberX, our most affordable individual option. Want to save money on your ride? Take uberPOOL—you’ll travel with other riders headed your way and enjoy a lower fare. Want to elevate your experience? Take a high-end vehicle with UberBLACK. And there’s still more options—whether you’re traveling with a big group, or need a vehicle with accessibility features. • Works but with major issues

Many drivers have multiple apps that drag them away from responding to my ride after they’ve accepted it or they see where I am going and want to stay in a more lucrative area to make more money. I literally just had driver stop and turn around one block from the pickup and cancel my ride. No excuses for that. It is 4:15 am and trying to get to the airport. This company is extremely unreliable. There should be a steep penalty for the drivers to do that like a 48hr suspension and more for doing it twice. Some drivers are flakey and clueless where very prominent places are as if they've never driven in the area before. GPS is a crutch for them from the first turn to the last. Extremely few drivers are great and already know the best way to get to a restaurant by name like a real pro.
  • Pool express charges uber x fare

I use uber daily for work and my complaint is that when I use uber pool express, it switches to uber x pricing which calculates and charged me the time and distance of all the passengers that were picked up and dropped off once the time passed the ETA.

  • Rude drivers and company that supports them

There are some rude drivers that do not show ups and do not even answer the calls even after they have accept ride. Problem is that company is supporting those drivers and does not do nothing to prevent this and compensate passenger who has been left waiting for driver that never show up. It is unfortunate since there are many hard working man and woman who make their many honestly but shame is put on them also just because they are associated with such unreliable company.
  • Frustrated with customer service

I get quite frustrated seeing The commercials of uber's CEO saying how they listen to riders and drivers, yet the customer service experience consists of giving pre-made email responses that don't actually answer the question at hand. The customer service experience will do anything to get rid of your complaint without taking responsibility for anything or making it right. I use any other app before uber not because of the drivers or app or anything other than the fear of having to contact them for any reason. If the new CEO is really making the changes he says in the ads, I have yet to see it in action
  • Express pool is terrible

I was glad to see that UBER created a new cheaper version of pool. I was more than glad to walk a few blocks on either end of my trip in exchange for a discount. Then, reality hit: Yes, UBER express IS cheaper than pool all the time. HOWEVER the new express rides cost 50% more than the old pool rides on my same route. Thanks for the “discount”. In summary, UBER is now less convenient and more expensive.

I rode with Mike. He was very pleasant and never made me nervous about driving. The app was great as it advised me in advance when my driver would arrive, what he looked like, make -model and license plate of car and showed me the route in which he did take. App was easy to use, easy to navigate, and easy to understand. This was my first Uber ride and I would def use it again and recommend to a friend.

This problem was corrected after a few days. I was able to go back and tip the drivers.
  • Poor service on pooling

Be ready to spend 1 hour on your ride when you pool -better to take a bus. You may be the first person your driver picks up, but that doesn’t mean you’ll be the first to drop off. During your ride, your driver will most likely to pick up 2-3 more people and drop them off first and then pick up more and drop them off on the way -and out of your way is also possible at times-, and finally drop you off at some point. This happened to me enough frequently so now I’m just switching to lift! Enough is enough.
