I am a professional writer. I have been using digital dictionaries for decades on various platforms. This app definitely ranks top in class. Feature rich, easy to use, and comprehensive in scope. I make use of the thesaurus, etymology, pronunciation, and web related services frequently. I have had no service issues with iOS updates over the years. I would gladly pay 2-3 times the modest purchase price for the long term value.

I just love this app in every way possible! I use it as a dictionary, a thesaurus, a speller. I use Wordbook just to browse. This app never lets me down. I wish they'd update it though. As they are so thorough, I'm certain the developers could create interesting new ways to present this awesome app! Ignore the reviews that lower their ratings as they are way off base. I'd be willing to pay a little bit more; I'm that enthused.

Pet peeve of all mispronunciations is put forth as the correct pronunciation in this app. I don’t often use it for pronunciation. Most often I just require definitions. I was just saddened to hear this one.

A rather dull word for this completely perfect application.

This app has not failed to provide what I need, quick and thorough definitions. Predictive spelling functions well and are always helpful. I have used it for years never needing to look for a better dictionary app. Highly recommend.

The app in my opinion is okay like I bought this app is a quick and easy app that I can look up words. But in my opinion it was not good enough for the price I have to pay. I am not going to comment saying it bad without proves. For one in some English words like “lead” there are two ways of saying it but this app provided one way. And sometimes when I look at how it define a certain words it’s hard for me to understand. Like the app is pretty easy to use I can give it credit for that but it need to improve to be better.

I often have to revert to a better dictionary when writing and correcting papers. It is convenient but very incomplete.

Finally, a dictionary that has had the definitions for nearly all the words I've looked up. After several inadequate dictionaries, I found this one (WordBook). And I use it often, to look up a word or learn a new one. Great dictionary.
