There are no matches. It’s a scam to collect your picture and personal information. I tried to cancel, but was told my password, which I just set, was magically wrong. I submitted a change password request, but nothing was sent to my email. About a week later I start getting spam from this company at that same email address, so now I know they have it correct. I follow the link in that email, which takes me to a login screen, where I follow it to “forgot password” and put in the same email. I get no reset email. This is an untrustworthy company that cannot even figure out how to let a customer reset a password. This is a dating service that doesn’t understand how the internet works, but started an app business for some reason. I’m disappointed that Apple doesn’t vet these companies to see if they even know how computers work before they allow them to run an app. This company is an analog joke. You’re better off asking Anne Landers for dating advice.

I had this app for almost 6 or 7 months and there were moments that i would usually delete my account and create a new profile, and I had noticed that this app doesn’t have a system to search the profile name of other members. I know that it’s purpose is to randomly find someone within the app, but I had formed a friend like about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I just started to chat with her that I wanted to contact her on Instagram, and she wanted to know why. well, I’m the end, she got hacked and i believe that it happened the same to her on OK Cupid, since her profile disappeared. Just in case, I would like to chat with my friend again, and if she does create her new profile here again, I would like to search my friend from her user profile name, like if it was from any social media like Facebook and Instagram.

I just downloaded this app some days ago, paying 10$ for promotion. However, I find this app is not sufficient and do not waste your money!!

My only issue w/OKCupid is they took away the ability to see who has looked at your profile. That was one of my favorite features.

I get that a free app relies on ads, but I’d prefer it if the ads weren’t impossible to X out of to the point that I have to restart the app every single time one pops up. Quickly losing patience with this app.
  • Met my spouse on OKC

A year after a bad breakup, I decided to start dating again and tried a few platforms, including OKC. This was in 2015. I met the guy who would become my husband on OKC about a month into online dating, and we married a year later. Still going strong now in 2018. We are a great match for each other — I think OKC put us at 97%. I had other matches at 99% and went out with some very nice, highly compatible guys before meeting D. The questionnaires helped a lot, and messaging is easy. I used both the mobile app and the desktop version of OKC. The app is easy to use with good settings and controls. Has a few quirks here and there. If you’re a straight gal under 50, it may be worth it to upgrade to a paid account — both their Incognito and A-List options (I did both) — for better security, so that you can see who likes you, and so that you don’t get spammed with unsolicited messages. One caveat is that OKC seems to work best in more populated cities. I live in a big West Coast city and had a super nice selection of dudes to choose from, but my friend in a smaller city in the Midwest hasn’t had much luck on OKC. Anyway, I did a lot of reading from relationship experts and couples’ communication therapists before jumping back into the dating game this last time in 2015. Experts say that straight relationships are more successful and fulfilling in the long run when the woman is discerning and actively performs the “partner selecting” rather than just going with whatever dude happens to show her the most attention. Here was my approach: I made an actual typed checklist of must-haves and red flags (and followed it to the T!); I went “incognito” on OKC; I was picky about who I liked and messaged; and, when I reached ~20 messages with worthwhile candidates, I met up with them in person. It was a great approach, and I went on many nice dates with upstanding, high-quality dudes that way. And it eventually led me to meet my spouse, whom I adore. We now have a house, two cats, and a wonderful life together. A heartfelt thanks to OKC for helping us find each other!

I’m irritated. All I see is straight men now. Not even worth using anymore.
