Free to use, but I loved it so much, I got paid version with the suggested readings
  • Hard to fix

I overall liked it as a bookmarking service, but when pages break, it is difficult to remedy. There is no visible way to view the original page at the top, and it requires several steps to open the page in Firefox to, for example, see pictures that were omitted in the rendering. It also does not render equations with mathjax. I am sure the team works hard to make the app robust to the zillions of webpages out there, I just wish more effort were taken to make things easy to fix, rather than hard to break.
  • It works sometimes

Usually fails despite indicating that everything was downloaded. I only have WiFi at home with no cell service or any other data. I will patiently wait for Pocket to finish downloading while I'm connected to WiFi at home. Then when I'm away from wifi and have no other data, I open the app and usually get blanks. It worked a lot better (actually usually worked) on my Android phone. So maybe it's some iPhone problem. Whatever it is, I wish they could fix it.

Pocket is a great app for articles that you can’t usually find without really looking. Also reasonably curated to the interests of the user and great for left-handed people.
  • Great. Feature request.

Can you implement a way to pin certain article at the top. The more you save the more you lose track of articles. Please give us a feature to pin articles at the top to read later.
  • Great idea but multiple glitches

I absolutely love the app and solution for being able to listen to blogs that are worth listening but don’t have to read. Glitches: -the status on how far you’re in on listening to the post isn’t working (it’s always frozen on the beginning) or partially works if you press stop/resume inside the app. -the listening stage doesn’t get updated on the lock screen of the phone so you can t quickly glimpse how much you have left tot go. -if you hide the in-pp listening mode playvirw it won’t continue listening in the background and what’s even worse is when you go back to the listening view it won’t remember where you were but instead starts from the beginning. -the listening speed adjustment button doesn’t work seamlessly- sometimes you have to stop and adjust and then resume but it doesn’t adjust on the fly while you’re listening. -LinkedIn blog posts are not a supported format for listening. -some rare posts get clipped prematurely / the reader doesn’t accurately read what’s the end of the post. -there should be an option to automatically mark the posts as listened / move to archive as you move to the next. I hope these glitches get fixed as have been looking for such a solution and already a power user.

This incredible app helps me focus on great stories and spend my device-time in a more positive, constructive, productive and fulfilling ways. Scrolling through Apple News today left me feeling empty. So I hopped over to Pocket and read 3 stories that I had saved. One article I read, I’d saved from the Pocket content feed in the Firefox New Tab — THE reason to switch to Firefox is to get Pocket article recommendations BTW (and ALSO better privacy). On the bus today, rather than reading crap, or scrolling through attention-grabbing headlines on Apple and Google news, I read an article about the gut microbiome, the state of glaciers in Alaska, and an article for work. And I learned something. Pocket is my favorite first-screen app that keeps me from wasting time on Insta/other places...and helps me stay sane, get smarter, focus on the things I care about. 6-stars for Pocket. 😀

Through the years I’ve emailed 100s—maybe 1,000s—of articles and whatnot to myself to “save” them for later reading if reference. This wonderful app has saved me much time and effort and has made it easier to archive resources and locations and retrieve them as needed. Kudos!

Love that it curated interesting (mostly non-political) and actually informative content that I can choose from to save for reading later. Love it.
