  • Frequent updates for a HUGE file!

    By J D'Cruz
This program is a massive download -almost 600MB and I think even bigger than the iPhone software update itself. This is the third version I've had to download over the last couple of months, and each time it takes forever. Please, please be more careful and considerate with your updates, so that your customers don't have to keep downloading such huge files. We shouldn't have to re-download such a big file just for some 'stability fixes'… thank you!
  • Good, but needs a lot of refining

There's a lot this application offers, but with some refinement, could be so much better. Here's a short list of what I'd like to see improved on: 1) Condense the categories. Too much duplication and not all are needed or make sense. 2) Sort phrases into appropriate categories. Some phrases are clearly in the wrong categories. For example: In "Sweet Talk" category, "Are you using me?" is found. Not considered "Sweet Talk" where I come from :-) 3) Allow for saving favorites that can be accessed under a "Favorites" tab. There are so many phrases, duplicates, meaningless categories, etc. Many times I find a phrase I want to remember and use only to be unable to find it again when the opportunity presents itself. It's frustrating standing in front of someone trying to explain, wait for 5 minutes while I try to find what I wanted to say in this unorganized Thai phrase application. Too many times I, or the other person, have given up before I can find the phrase again 4) Clean up the duplication of phrases 5) Have an English as a first language speaking person go through and clean up some of the mistated phrases 6) Make the font for the Thai written phrase bigger. Most Thai people I show the phrase to complain the font is too small to read. Allow for zooming in the application 7) Don't know if it's an application issue or iPhone, but allow for copy and paste of Thai phrase. This would be nice to be able to copy the Thai written phrase and include in a text or email. 8) Keep adding to the phrases! 9) The audio is good, include a feature that allows the user to slow down the audio a bit 10) The search feature is virtually useless. It rarely works. It's a good start, but lack of organization and the inability to create favorites is the biggest downfall. I look forward to future versions.
  • Nice program

I like it. It almost has everything you want to start learning some Thai. It's missing a Thai keyboard, the Thai /English alphabet, and a better search function. It would be the best if there was a dictionary intergreated. The search function should cover every phrase. The price is steep but it's worth it for this App. I recommend this to people trying to learn some Thai phrases.
