  • Weather channel

Very good, i think it’s the best weather app out there.
  • Love it more than ever; has everything you need and more

UPDATE JAN 2019 I love this app more than ever. The Weather Channel app uses IBM’s Watson and is based on good science and meteorology that it highlights. After learning about the evil practices of AccuWeather, this app gets my full respect and support. AccuWeather seeks a monopoly on forecasting and too-successfully lobbies Congress to prevent the National Weather Service from providing free and accessible weather and climate information to the citizens who pay for it through taxes. I am noticing that TWC app is providing much more explanatory information and caveats than ever before. I believe it tries to be neither alarmist nor sanguine, but as realistic as possible. It treats users with respect. For example, it explains its method and reasoning behind naming winter storms - to raise awareness and let people track them better, just like Hurricanes. My understanding is that the National Weather Service does not because AccuWeather got to it and didn’t want the competition. Its use of IBM’s Watson computer system (IBM owns the app) was a huge factor in my original choice. But its journalistic mission to provide free and accurate information based on true meteorology and its full support of NOAA and the critical US government satellite system we all pay for is what puts it over the top for me. OP: I go to this app every day. It's organized and has a lot of good material. I've used it all over the world. I like the radar feature the most, and the predictions are usually spot on. Of course there are ads everywhere, which we can expect from a free app. But it would be nice to watch two or three videos before any ad pops up. So I rarely watch videos. One wish is that it would retain settings, like layers for radar and clouds, and not revert back to the default. This is a new problem introduced in the latest app. Meantime, this is my go-to weather app.

  • Horrible update

    By lizzdks
I used to use this app all the time and loved it. I'm fascinated by weather and how quickly it can change in a short amount of time. This update is awful. It's cumbersome to see what I want such as hourly temps and radar but the worst is how quickly it drains my battery. I literally lost 10% in less than 1 minute, then another 10% pulling up the radar. Time for a change.
  • Saw 2 ads before i could even check current weather. Uninstalled

Many other better apps with no ads.
  • Still Crashes 2-3 Times Every Time I Open App

    By Lauryll2020
Even after the latest update, the App still crashes while opening, after opening, and when I click on links. This has been going on for months. Please FIX this problem!!
  • So long..

This app used to be great... so sorry to see it go.
  • Bring back the old version!

    By Paintergirl31
Unreadable update! So much white space, yet so little information. With the old version, I could tell at a glance what current conditions were, and easily click to whatever in-depth info I needed. Now, graphically it’s a disaster. And slow! Going to look for a new weather app.
  • App Needs Help!

Terrible app that crashes before it even loads. Loyal user for years, now I can’t even access. It may have something to do with latest updates on apple software for phone, but too frustrating to wait for a fix.

Still have problems getting past opening splash screen if ad removal purchase is restored, making app unusable for paid users. Reported repeatedly by many users, with zero authentic support response. Only robo-replies, and an app that stays broken update after update. Further, paid customer or not, TWC is being sued in LA for selling their users location data to third parties and hiding that fact within a convoluted user agreement. Which is NOT cool. If they weren’t shady about it, and the value of the app was sufficient, this might be an acceptable exchange. Being that they’re obfuscating their monetization of my data, and their app has remained broken for months with no support whatsoever, just... No.
