    Great app, love everything except that when I pause the workout and move from the paused location, the distance I went while paused is added to my workout. Would love to see that option fixed or modified and the app would be perfect!

    The first couple of times I ran it tracked me properly but for the past 2 days it’s saying I ran 32 miles across the ocean lol..... idk. Other than that it seems like a great app.
  • 1 minute mile

    When the app works, I love it! However, it has been acting up. For instance, I went out running today. At the mile mark, it gives me my pace (about 10 minutes) and all is good. Less than a 1/4 mile farther, and it tells me I have run 2 miles and my pace is 5 minutes. No way. I’m slow. So I turn it off and start again. No more than 1/2 mile farther, it tells me I have completed 3 miles and my pace is zero. What? I turned it off & just ran without it. What I just described has happened several times on and off. Today was the worst. It kind of ruined my run because I kept stopping to tinker with it. What’s the problem?

    If you stop your run and restart after a walking it tracks mileage gained while walking with the app stopped as if you’ve been running the whole time, but really really fast. I’ve broken the mile world record on this app because it doesn’t allow stopping and starting distances apart.
  • Terrific! Would like audio cues to be more “polite”

    I’ve been using the Premium version of MapMyRun for several months, in training for my first marathon. What brought me to the app in the first place was the ability to define new routes and estimate distances in a web browser. This has been outrageously useful for finding and making new routes in many cities and countries. Also, the marathon training program I’m using is really quite good. The variety and challenge of different runs is nicely tuned to my (totally average) abilities. Head-to-head with another running app (which I’ve been using for several years), I think the MMR training program is superior. I especially like the training calendar, and that each new training run tells me the total distance AND workout time. Helps me plan my run into a busy schedule. The one thing I really wish MMR would improve is one little aspect of the audio cues: please pause the audio that’s already playing. My other running app (Runkeeper) does this perfectly, whether I’m listening to music or podcasts. RK is especially polite about it: the podcast fades out and pauses, the running cue comes across clearly, and then the podcast resumes from just a couple seconds prior, so I don’t miss anything. But MMR’s audio cues just overlay the audio, forcing me to dig out the phone or futz with my Apple Watch to back up the podcast’s audio. When we’re working on short sprints and intervals (with lots of frequent audio cues), it gets especially annoying. Overall, a terrific app. Wanted to share my one idea for making it perfect. Thanks!
