  • I already own all the books

I feel like if you want it all digital this would be great but I’m not about to buy all the books again. I was just looking for something easier to look threw or something I can take on the go.
  • No.

I’m not jumping through hoops to use your app. Wants a twitch account. Why? When I tried creating an account it wanted me to use a different email. DELETE.

Great app overall with one glaring omission, character sheets! If fight club can do it, surely WOTC can do it even better. Waiting...
  • Only Twitch Login?

    By Pntandrew15
I created an account on my PC using a gmail account. But when I got the app it only allows me to log in with twitch.
  • It’s decent

I downloaded this app because of the partnership with Critical Roll, but I don’t really find this app to be as useful as they claimed to be. First you have to sign in through twitch which I find really annoying as I have no reason to use a twitch account. It is not needed for a service like this. You can’t actually view any of the information with out first either downloading the free books onto your device, which eats up available storage space, or purchasing the required books which are largely over priced for an electronic copy. Not to mention there are places online and apps that allows you to view the information for free. A feature I was hoping to see, as it was used in the Critical Roll campaign, was creating character sheets. That’s not even in the app! How can you make a DnD app like this and not even provide a space for character creation? Overall I was largely disappointed. The only redeeming quality I found for this app was that the ebooks are at least a little discounted, albeit still over priced. If you’re willing to spend the money then I am sure you’d get more use out of this app though.
  • No character sheets

No point in having the app when I just have to look up my character sheet on the website. Might as well just have the website up on my phone instead.
  • Trash

    By Watrukk
I guess it has a main website that is better but I don’t know and I’m not rating the website. This app is trash. Their are much better apps too use.
  • No character sheets and no retention of place

    By ChemLav
This app has one use. If you need a digital copy of the books while using a paper character sheet or other digital device for you character sheet. The app has no character sheet. If I switch apps to use a character sheet it loses my place in the app. If I am on their website it does not function well on my phone or iPad. D&D beyond is not a mobile all in one solution.
  • Need character sheets

The character sheets are one of the best parts about d&d beyond and they’re not on the app!
  • It’s a reference app - that’s buggy

    By Wildcard13
Current version of the app does not display information on any item you have select to view further. It will run a search just fine, but once you click on the item you’re looking for, the screen is blank. I could maybe overlook that if the app also allowed you to have your character sheets and homebrew accessible, but it doesn’t. It’s only reason for existing currently does not work, and that’s disappointing. It’s worth having as a DM to have for in the moment referencing when it works properly; otherwise, it’s just a digital paperweight
