Trying to sign in via Nintendo Network ID on my iPhone leads to a blank page. I’m not necessarily opposed to using an app for voice chat, but I should, you know, be able to log in.

This app hasn’t been updated since it was released. Are you kidding me? And Nintendo wants people to pay for this? I can’t believe that Nintendo is just falling behind on everything. Xbox and PlayStation will remain top tier consoles until Nintendo improves their internet/voice chat services. I guess I’m a fool for thinking you’d actually treat this as a console that can compete with the big wigs.
  • A antiquated solution for a company stuck in the past......

I didn’t mind the app at first, especially given that I’ve never had an opportunity to utilize it, moreover, none of my fiends who own Switch own Splatoon. But, now that they EXPECT me to pay for this service I’m miffed to put it mildly. Nintendo is so focused on protecting children, that it comes at the total expense of their more mature audience. This is just the sort of thing that caused me to skip the Wii-U & buy an X-Box 360, & the ONLY reason I’m back is because of the greed present in modern gaming: micro-transactions, day 1 DLC, lack of single player, & etc. Nintendo doesn’t seem to be on that bandwagon, but they are still stuck in the past with regards to online gaming. I didn’t mind paying Microsoft to access their online service, moreover, it had EVERYTHING I needed: DMs, party chat, seamless online integration, a functional buddy list, & in-game voice chat. The Switch has almost none of these features, & it’s outrageous that they expect us to pay them given that. I’d play more Splatoon if I could talk to my teammates, but I can’t & it’s frustrating. The Switch already has parental controls, expand those to protect children so you don’t have to hinder my experience. If anything, I need protection from those children online!! I rarely had trouble with other adults while playing Halo or Gears of War, however, I frequently had to mute 12 year olds whom always seemed to know about my sexual preferences or deceased mother some how. 😒

Having you have to plug your phone in to talk is awful. Why can't we just talk using the console like Xbox and PS4. I, with a large group of people who own the nintendo switch, are not going to be paying for this in September if it remains this way.

This isn’t even close to a substitute for a wired mic.. if we have to pay you for online and not get microphone support Nintendo will have folded more frequently then lawn chairs do.. So far fortnite is the only game I can get to work with a mic....

L’ve been one of your customers for years and I’m very disappointed like the last time you updated this app since a year ago A YEAR AGO I thought you would be really for this like fortnite is out on the switch and paladins and soon to be warframe and more too payday, Monster Hunter, super smash bro‘s maybe Mario kart 8 deluxe. Just please Nintendo read this I know you have a lot of loyal followers that want to use this app for others games but you are making it a splatoon 2 machine only and I don’t even have splatoon so what’s the point of this app please Nintendo don’t make this app a Failure I still have hope in you
